Maybe it has nothing to do with the place but I attended today and the lady who does the drug tests for the amazon job is disgusting and treats people badly. If you don't have patience you shouldn't take this kind of jobs. no one deserves to be treated in a bad way or with your little patience

I just got married to my wife at the Jefferson Civic Center last weekend, and the experience was great. A few details you may want to know before going: their office is only open from 10-2, Monday through Friday, they have 4 rooms available for rent as well as a kitchen, and they require at least one officer for your event if you are serving alcohol (maybe 2 officers depending on number of people attending). Your room rental is for 8 hours, you can serve alcohol for up to 4 hours, and you must stop serving alcohol at least one hour before the event is over. They require a cleaning deposit that you can pay by check, which they will just rip up or return if you clean up after yourself.

We worked mostly with Michelle throughout the process, but also with Katie the day before the event. Both were very accommodating and helped us along the way. We rented out the Ballroom that is the furthest to the left if you look at the front of the building - I can't remember the letter. I uploaded our floor plan to the photos section.

They give you 20 tables total as part of the rental. You can use any combination of the 8ft long rectangular, 6ft long rectangular, and 5ft diameter round tables. If you need more, they only charge you the cost of the linen rental. They say you can fit 10 chairs to a table, but it's realllllly tight. I'd recommend 8 per table.

We ended up renting the room for the day before our event so that we could have plenty of time to decorate. We used the icicle lights that they already have in the room along with our own hula hoop lighting creations. They were nice enough to let our family and friends come back the day after the event (Sunday) to finish cleaning up.

Our caterer made food for 100 people in their kitchen, and I didn't hear any complaints, so I guess it did the job. One warning though, they do not have a dishwasher, so plan accordingly. My only real complaint was that the fridge was not very cold at all and barely chilled the wine that we left in it overnight. This was quickly fixed by a bucket of ice, but it's something worth mentioning.

Overall it was a great (and relatively affordable) experience, and I will try to post good pictures once we get them back from the photographer.

I have been to this venue many times...not only as a guest but as a host as well. The staff is helpful and friendly. As a local realtor who deals with newcomers daily, I always know where to refer them to when I am asked about local, great venue sources.

It’s absolutely absurd that no one answers the phone or returns phone calls. If your office hours are 10-2 then you should be there during those hours and returning phone calls.

This is the new location for Christ Place East. starting in August 2023 you will have a great location to join Pastor Jake Brooks and the members of Christ Place. This will be a great way to invite the members of Jefferson Community to come and join us on Sundays

I've only been for the Cagle antiques auction the 1st Saturday of every month (almost always that day). Byt nice location staff is nice and would be a good venue for parties/get-togethers/etc.
