Had a terrible experience today. Went to go look at possibly adopting an animal and the lady was completely rude and made it really inconvenient to be there. Left after looking at a few dogs and frankly, it made me upset because I was looking at adopting but with her attitude I didn’t even care to look around.

Friendly service and cute animals in need of homes. Adoption was very quick and they had some free treats and toys for our new cat, too.

Just an easy, kind, beautiful experience! We had a beloved cat pass away very unexpectedly and have been heartbroken. On top of that, we've had several disappointing attempts at adopting a new family member.

The staff at Josephine County Animal Shelter were friendly and compassionate and clearly care about their animals very much. The visit was safe (covid-wise) and easy. The adoption process was thorough but simple, even though we're renters (single family home, same address for 6 years).

And our new babe is absolutely PERFECT. I can't believe he was ever a stray. He's sweet as pie and well-adapted. We're feeling so, so lucky thanks to this rescue! Big thank you to the volunteers for all you do!!

I adopted Amber from here when she was 10 weeks old. She was the runt of a litter of 9 a mastiff terrier mix breed, she turn one year old in December, she and her siblings were given excellent care,

By far the very best shelter ever. Staff truly cares and goes out of their way to find the very best adoptive homes. And when shelter becomes over crowded animals are placed in foster homes, or are transferred to other shelters, so none have to ever be euthanized due to space. The shelter is also supported by "Shelter Friends" which is a local non-profit that covers extra vet bills, and does many of the transports. A win- win for everyone, especially the animals. Volunteers to assist with the care of animals are much appreciated.

The young ladies I talked to were super cool with me when my lil Dozer got locked up 🧐at only six months old😁 even worked with me to getting the outlaw out on a lower bail. 🤔They must of taken really good care of him because he acted like he wanted to stay till he got home and realized he was back on his turf then he was back to his his self before doing about 50 victory laps around the yard😅 A big thank you JCAS for make sure we were back together quick🤳🤳

I called several times to make a appointment to meet one of dogs on the website. Never got a call back so I drove out there. The young woman was rude. When I asked about the dog she stated that the dog was in the middle of a greet, which I understand. I told her I had left several messages. She stated well I've been running around here trying to do everything. I felt very unwelcome. I would have thought since I was there she might have number 1 apologized for not returning my calls which were over a course of a couple days. Number 2 encouraged me to look at other dogs. I felt like she didn't want to be bothered. I left. Guess I'll go to Medford to hopefully be more welcomed. A note to this young lady. Jobs can get stressful and busy but if you care about what you are doing you provide good customer service. Hopefully she will get some additional training from her supervisor.
