Loved, LOVED, their plant selection. Their nursery was AMAZING. However, their herpetology section is very sickening.

When I informed an employee that these bearded dragons were very starved, they “assured” me they were professionals while proceeding to ignore the poor things. They have no HEAT in this rainy, cold weather and are pretty much forced to be exposed to all eyes all times of the day.

I love kaijas. I love the atmosphere, i love the friendly people, i love sheba, ive been going for over a year now at least monthly. Its a great area where i feel seen and part of the community. However. There is an elderly man with a beard who works there who made me have an uncomfortable time for the first time in this store. He answered the phone and after about 30 seconds could be heard across the entire store talking very very loudly about the boots of democrats on his neck and how "those people" ruin the country, and other unsavory things. Me and multiple customers in line made wide eye contact like wow hes screaming this stuff? He was STILL going when i finished checking out and left. Again, love the store, love the atmosphere, never had an experience like this here before. I would have expected this at a bar or even at a gun store, but kaijas? Hopefully, it was just a one off, because i thought everyone was welcome at kaijas.

They are a fun place to go to. They have a good selection of things for pets even though they are a smaller place. They recently were also willing to order more things at request for my chinchillas. It's honestly just a great environment in the store and I love looking at the guinea pigs, bunnies, and cats they always have up for adoption

I'm extremely disappointed, especially after the interaction I had today. The employee SCRUFFED a guinea pig and used a pink solution from an unlabeled spray bottle on his face after I pointed out the chelitis developing above his lip. Showed very little regard for fear-free handling. You don't scruff animals, very young kittens may be the exception in certain circumstances. Neither rabbits nor piggies had hay available. No enrichments, chews or toys. Only one 32oz water bottle and one hidey hut for 4-5 guineas, with bare stall pellets for bedding.. Rabbits kept in small, wire bottom cages, stacked up, nowhere to hide or feel secure. Lots of dead fish.

Went here to pick out some new fish friends, and the employee that was working the fish section was REALLY knowledgeable, and super helpful and friendly. Made picking our new friends a great experience. Will definitely return! 😁

The absolute best place ever! The folks there are always willing to help with questions about gardens and plants. Can't wait for spring and the new season to begin, altho they also have fall planting garlic roses ect

Great nursery, they know their stock. They carry feed, pet supplies, aquarium, and pond supplies. Good people, long-standing local business.
This is a business that cares about the customer. They answer questions and have enough staff on hand to get to you quickly.
The Sarracenias are excellently priced here and make great outdoor bog plants to keep the flies down.
I also bought 3 nepenthe pitcher plants for inside the house last year. They are doing well, and I fed them every box elder beetle that I found inside. Bonus
