I have been riding at Kayenta since 2020. Katie, has taken me from getting back in the saddle in over 20 years to owning my first horse. It has been a dream come true to be here and I am truly grateful for the experience. It's also located in the most beautiful location possible!

Beautiful place to board or take lessons! My sister boards her horse here. Great facilities with a large outdoor and indoor arena and indoor tack room and tack up area. There is a large hay field that the owner Katie also allows people to ride in, and best of all is the beautiful scenic view!

I have boarded great places before, but the care provided by the staff and the knowledgeable owner gives me great peace of mind. I absolutely love it here and could not possibly recommend Kayenta more highly!

I cannot say enough about what a wonderful place Kayenta is to board your horse, and how Katie is a wonderful person to work with. My journey with my horse has been unique, I’ve never had to solely care for a horse before and did not know what to expect. I got my horse as an intercept from auction, so the whole process was very time sensitive and confusing. I google searched boarding facilities around where I lived, and made quick appointments to look at them. Admittedly Kayenta was my first stop, and I didn’t look at anymore after that. Katie was willing to help with trailering to bring my horse to her boarding facility with just a few hours notice. She answered questions for me the whole way there and back, and was very kind. Sunny went into a quarantine pen for a week, which I appreciated because it protects both him and other horses there. He then was moved into a shared (very large) paddock with 3 other horses. From that point, a couple of horses were moved around based on personality and Sunny ended up with his best buddy in his Paddock. The horses there seem very happy. The facility is incredible, there are 2 very large arenas (one indoor and one outdoor), two round pens, and a very large pasture that you can ride in, separate from the turn out pasture. I was only there for a few months while my fence was being built and I was able to bring Sunny home, but very much enjoyed it. I started taking lessons with Katie that helped both me and my horse become better riders and teammates. She is very knowledgeable and easy to make an appointment for a lesson with. Katie was there for all of the small things as well, she would blanket Sunny when it got cold and I wasn’t able to get over there after work, she came with me to see another horse at a rescue so I could have her expert opinion, and was always available to answer any questions. Her facilities were clean and well maintained, and the horses there are very loved. I would highly recommend Kayenta to anyone and everyone.

I just love Kayenta and have peace of mind knowing my horse is well cared for! Everything is so clean and well maintained! My horse loves slowly munching on his hay and enjoys his daily turnout in the nice, big pasture. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, and the boarders are always happy and friendly! It's my home away from home!

Katie amazed me from the day one with her knowledge and understanding of horses, patience with questions, and the effort she puts into fully interpreting and explaining horse behavior and effective riding/training techniques. I have learned more in 3 sessions here than I have in almost a year of work at a highly esteemed barn. I cannot give enough praise to Katie's care, compassion, and genuinely good attitude toward both her horses and her clients.

I had really high hopes moving my horse to Kayenta and unfortunately would strongly NOT recommend Kayenta in Loveland for boarding. The horses are unsafely handled by some of the barn staff due to lack of any horse experience, the owner firmly believes that all horses should be fed out of slow feeders ( I unfortunately watched horses with more stress/anxiety eating), the grass hay that is fed is poor quality, a form of pea gravel is placed in all stalls for drainage, however, from my perspective definitely was not inviting for horses to comfortably lay down or roll also causing abrasions on hocks/elbows, the shelters in each stall have numerous screws through the roof that have not been tapered off and could easily cause a puncture wound. I was there for one week and my draft horse (whom usually sleeps while I groom or bathe her) was so stressed out I approached the owner and asked if she would pro-rate the days I was there and kindly reimburse me the remaining days I had already paid for, of which she refused. I left despite because my horse was so stressed and lost $400.00, however, I gained peace of mind that my horse is now stress free at another facility with great care.
