All I know, is some caring person there sheltered a 3 yr old Australian Cattle dog mix(possibly named Momma Dot) who was pregnant. Then the Australian Cattle Dog Recuse got involved and rescued her and her pups. They found d their way to Rhode Island where a very nice lady fostered them. We just adopt the mom! She's now living her best life along the shore in New Jersey; she's now named Hanna and she couldn't be sweeter, cuter, and more loved! 🥰
So I just wanted to say thank you!!! Your work means a lot!!

Definitely adopt your next pet from the Kentucky River Animal Shelter! Such an amazing group of people and animals! The staff is kinda, caring, patient, compassionate and work their butts off seven days a week, EVERY day of the year!

They are doing the best they can with what they have. I admire them for what they are doing and for their concern about the animals. They also have a great group of volunteers who give of their time to help our four legged family. Great job guys. I wish more people would get involved or support them financially.

Never been there but they gave my Winston (Curly) a second chance by sending him up to Chicago where I adopted him, I am forever grateful they rescued him, sent him up north and I was able to connect with him, he may be ah very finicky eater But a true joy.

Very rude. Does not answer phone calls or direct messages, and has made the adoption process insanely difficult by leaving me on read when I text for updates on application. Have heard that the original volunteers/workers that just got fired were much more helpful.

I have much respect for the wonderful people who work here. It takes a special kind hearted person to love & care for animals that don't even belong to you. Personally I just adore every single animal i come in contact with. But anyway, these people are very nice people who really try to help every animal they can & they do everything they can to keep from having to euthanize animals. This wouldn't even be a problem for them if more people would just spay & neuter their animals &/ or donate a few $$ to places that take in animals so they can afford to have other animals spayed & / or neutered. I know these people love & care about animals or they wouldn't be here working with these animals. I truly appreciate every single one of them that work here and I pray that they keep on being able to help all animals that is brought to them. Dear Lord please watch over all animals & protect them from any harm & make a way for every animal to have food and water each & every day. Please protect them from diseases and sickness and provide care & medicine for the ones that are ill. In Jesus precious name I pray, Amen! 🙏 🐾❤️🙏🐾💕

The shelter is a wonderful place with wonderful people I've never met any kinder heart's in my life, ill say this if it weren't for them idk what id do about My 32 cats, 24 dogs and 7 puppies. Because I have such a hard time feeding all the strays I get but Tony and the shelter help alot and me and the fur babies really appreciate them thanks guys God bless you all

The animals are not being properly cared for, and they are being abused. The shelter has cut ties with its biggest rescue pulling anomals and prividing funding, at the expense of the animals. All because of the president's ego.
