The quintessential theater! This gem is 102 years old! It’s worth visiting just for the ambiance & architectural beauty!
The employees are extremely kind and enjoy their job. There’s plenty of seats & they are very comfortable. Make sure you buy some delicious buttery popcorn to go with your movie. Kick back & enjoy this experience. It’s a precious place!

Enjoyable visit was had. The interior is spectacular and the staff was fantastic. Fred is warm and friendly host who has his own bobblehead. $1.50 refills on the popcorn. Resonable prices for concessions, merch and movies. Support your local organizations. Definitely recommend a visit when you're in the vicinity.

Amazing place with great architecture. The owner was so sweet to me and my friend let us see inside of cinema halls. That’s so beautiful and made in different styles. I liked the Italian village style. Thank you for being so hospitable. At this July I will visit with my friend again for his birthday. That would be so special.

The atmosphere in both theaters is nostalgic & comforting; I love movies & KY Theater heightens the experience for me. I hope it stays open so that many generations to come will have the unique privilege of visiting this historic place that holds the hearts & great memories of the thousands who sat in the same seats, those who laughed, who cried, & all the ladies who looked forward to the next date, loving the experience more than the fella who brought them. We visited this theater for the first time to view The Creature from the Black Lagoon in 3D. They had the theater decorated for their Halloween offerings. The staff was extremely nice and very professional. It had a good selection of drinks of both the regular( and adult side if you're into that). It was very clean, very cool atmosphere very old theater very cool experience.

Wonderfully beautiful theater, great prices with tickets around $8 and reasonable concessions including specialty candy, drink, and alcohol selections. Well maintained, clean, historical, large clear screen, beautiful theater interior. A Lexington jewel and somewhere that deserves support.

We enjoyed the show at the Kentucky Theater with Riders in the Sky. Their shows have great western music and good family oriented comedy. We also appreciate that the performers stuck around after the show to sell merch and meet the fans.
The old theater is beautiful and has great acoustics. This wasn't our first visit here and certainly won't be our last.
We had to park several blocks away but since the weather was nice it wasn't a problem and the show was well worth it.
