In 2017 as a missionary for my church, I volunteered here and absolutely loved it. Many people know me as the "cat guy" and i absolutely adored being able to help maintain and make a contribution to an establishment such as KittyLand! I loved the staff (Jeanette, Pam, and all the others) and I love their goals and purpose! I am 100% a supporter of KittyLand!

its almost been a week from when we got our kittens and one of them died to Parvo, to mention all the kittens when we saw them they looked sick and had symptoms , they said he was vaccinated and “spayed” and when we took him to the vet they said males cant get spayed AND he was not vaccinated at all we have his sister but she is really sick right now.

I adopted my cat in the beginning of November from these people. They told me he was a 5 month old kitten and so for the past almost 3 months i have had him on a kitten food diet while i was under the impression that’s what he needed. Turns out, after a vet visit and a teeth examination by the vet, he is believed to be about 4 years old and was in fact just EXTREMELY malnourished when i adopted him. I am appalled and utterly DISGUSTED at KittyLand for the neglect my cat received in their care. There is zero excuse for the size my adult cat was given to me as to be able to “sell” him as a kitten. Kittyland should be ashamed of themselves and should not be allowed to care for cats anymore. I wish i could get a refund on my adoption fee considering i’ve hacked up over $2k in vet expenses since getting him just to realize his sicknesses were all due to Kittyland’s neglect!

Let me start by saying these folks, for the most part, are awesome! I love no kill shelters. And cats! They work very hard and are always super busy. That being said, don’t expect them to return messages left on their machine in a timely manner, or at all. The office staff is delightful but if you have a sick baby, prepare yourself to worry a bit. Jeanette, who heads the infirmary and is not a vet, can be short-tempered and condescending. Don’t take it personally, she seems like a pretty unhappy person. If you are lucky enough to adopt a cat or kitten from these crusaders, I would suggest going to a real veterinarian for care of a sick one. My kitties came home after 6 days (after I was chastised like a child by Jeanette) with meds left, smelling funky, obviously stir crazy, without the bed I brought in with them, and a bit scared. After a few hours they settled back home nicely. I appreciate the work Kittyland is doing but think they may need some work on choosing staff.

I just spent 2 hours with a dozen cats and kittens! How do I pick just onePatty has turned this little house into a cat haven. She is treating a couple for minor infections, but as soon as they're better, they're available. Each is up to date on shots, fixed, chipped, and given a clean bill of health. They need volunteers to come pet cats, can you believe it?
