Such a great experience!! You pay to play with the kittens, and they even have treats to purchase to give them (highly recommend this). These are local rescue kittens that are adorable and up for adoption. There were so many of them with all different personalities. I just wish I hadn’t saved this as the last thing we did before our flight out, as I felt I could spend hours in here, but unfortunately ran out of time (make sure to make a reservation)!

We loved our visit to Kona Kat Cafe. We sat and played with the kitties, gave them treats, and one even crawled into my lap and went to sleep! It was especially nice too, because we are here on vacation and missing our own little fur babies. Fun for us and it helps the kitties too! What a wonderful thing Kona Cat Cafe is doing to help the rescues!!!

I have been to many cat cafes around the world, and Kona Kat Cafe is one of the best! It is so clean and comfortable in the cat lounge, and there are lots of toys to interact with the cats. You even get a little bag of treats, and the cats really love them! I also really appreciated the workers who gave us more info about the individual cats and how they work with local cat rescues.

This was a highlight of our big island vacation as we were missing our own kitties at home, and we loved being able to spend our money at a place doing such great work for our feline friends.

I loved Kona Kat Cafe so much!! The worker was very nice and seeing the kitties made my day. They had a good selection of cold drinks, and a lot of cat merch! My family also had a blast here! I hope all these kitties get loving homes. Next time I'm on the big island, ill be back here for sure.

I’ve been to 13 other cat cafes over the U.S. and Europe. The Kona Kat Cafe can definitely be a top contender. The Catio is a relaxing, intimate space to interact with the cats and the shop has many unique items for cat lovers. Reservations are a must… but so worth the effort.

Kona Cat Cafe is a charming oasis! The warm and cozy atmosphere, filled with playful cats, makes it a perfect spot to relax. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the cats, adding to the experience. Many of the cats are available for adoption, which is a wonderful touch. If you're in Kona, this unique cafe is a must-visit for cat lovers! Highly recommend!

UPDATE: I posted a generic five-star review earlier because I was so enamored with the kitties I forgot to even take any pictures! So I'm now including some pics of my faves. I would also like to mention that this place is very special, they're doing great work for our feline siblings. In one of the rooms they have photo collages of all of the cats that have been lovingly placed into homes. I went there twice, and on my second visit several cats had already been placed from my visit a few days prior. It's a wonderful thing for the community.

As diehard cat lovers, we found this spot on a rainy day, and are so glad we did. The location is tucked away in a small shopping center. The cats were lovely, and quite well socialized both with people and each other. You pay a reasonable fee to spend an hour with the cats, and they also offer yoga classes and painting on certain days. If you enjoy hanging out with sweet cats or are looking to adopt, I would highly recommend a visit to this cat cafe 🙂
