I had my birthday dinner at La Provenance and had a delightful experience. The service was exceptional, with staff being incredibly friendly and attentive, especially when it came to explaining menu items.

As for the food, the appetizers and soup were standout dishes, bursting with rich flavor. While the main dishes were enjoyable, they fell slightly short of expectations, lacking that extra oomph to make them truly memorable.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was charming, with romantic outdoor lighting visible from indoors, making it an ideal spot for couples celebrating a special occasion.

From the moment you walk in, to the moment you leave, you are treated to an incredible experience. The wait staff are attentive, knowledgeable, and incredibly good at their jobs. They weren't hovering, allowing you to enjoy your meal, but never left wondering where they were.

The food was great, flavorful, and very well presented. I had the escargots and the rack of lamb. The desserts were surprisingly larger portions than we expected, or needed, but were excellent as well.

The atmosphere was romantic, you could easily hear each other talk, and the overall location is great.

I highly recommend La Provence, we will be back next time there is a special occasion!

Very nice place with very friendly service. The cheese board was a great starter and my wife’s fish was the winning entree. My rack of lamb had more potential that would have been well served with a small side of extra sauce. Alas, by the time the server came to check, the potatoes were a bit cool and the extra sauce took a while. The Lamb made some great steak and eggs the next morning.
I plan to return here again to sample more offerings.

Everything was amazing here - the food, the service, the ambiance, etc. What dazzled me the most was the Tartes aux Pommes dessert! I have been "Chasing the Apple Tart Dragon" ever since Feb 2000. I was in Albi, France and had the most delicious Tarte aux Pommes dessert, one that had me forever ordering that dessert looking for its equal. It took 24 but I have finally found it at La Provence in Ambler!! I wish I knew the secret, but I'm not a pastry chef. The one thing I did notice that made it different than all the rest (over the last 24 years) was that the bottom of the pastry seemed to be glazed in caramelized marshmallow (or something caramelized) that made it of this world!!
The oysters were great, the duck was great and the chicken was great, and there are so many more items I cannot wait to try. My husband has the chocolate mousse for dessert (which he loved and so did I) and you already know what I had, lol!
The service was amazing and VERY professional. A we noticed that there were a LOT of staff, which was nice to see post-COVID. There was a bit of drama involving a local that wandered in and the staff treated her nicely and calmly helped her as politely and dignifyingly as possible. She eventually left peacefully and I'm pretty sure that my husband and I were the only diners that noticed she was there. Bravo to the entire staff for how they handled that - if they were there that night, they know who they are...
Anyway, if you couldn't already tell - I highly recommend this restaurant. Oh, and it's a BYOB which I always prefer for the cost savings. And there was plenty of parking! Five Stars All Around - I cannot wait to go back!

We had the cod, red mullet, diver sole, and venison. Everything was GREAT. server was friendly and funny too. We had a good time. Ambience was good with it being an old train station. Also liked that it was a byob.
