Kevin and Erica were amazing guides! We went scenic rafting down the Colorado River on August 9th, and it was so gorgeous, even despite the small rain storm that popped up as we were starting our trip! They were fun, super experienced, very knowledgeable about the river and wildlife, and they had a great sense of humor! If you're wondering if this really is fun, YES, it is! My 6 year old son will not stop talking about our rafting adventure and how it was the coolest thing we did on vacation! There were even snacks waiting for us at the end of our rafting adventure while the rafts, personal floatation devices, and anything else borrowed were gathered up! We plan on coming back for another adventure with Lakota Guides on our next Colorado vacation!

We rafted on the Colorado River with two kids (5 and 8), parents, and grandparents. This was the kids’ first rafting experience, and our daughter was very nervous. Every single staff member was so friendly and reassuring, though! Chuck was our trip leader and was full of fun facts (and dad jokes that our kids loved) on the bus ride there and back. Joe was our guide on the river and was absolutely spectacular in helping our kids have fun and get comfortable! I knew the rafting itself would be fun but didn’t expect to be so impressed by the staff. Highly recommend going with this company! We’ll be back!

Chuck was our guide and we did the Sheshone run in the afternoon, 3 times. He was a great guide and we had a blast! Chuck was knowledgeable and informative. He told us a lot of the Colorado history, which was awesome!
It was my son’s first rafting experience and he is wanting to try it again!

I had a lot of fun on the lower eagle river white water rafting excursion, and Kayla was a great guide! They had wetsuits, river booties, helmets, and PFDs to wear. The tour lasted a good while, and we saw an eagle above the river. They also let us leave some stuff in their van in between our starting and stopping points.

My group of 4 recently did a 9am rafting run with Riley on Eagle River and really enjoyed it. I have been rafting before but this was definitely one of the best trips because of the river conditions and the guides. We went through 3 level 3 rapids and ended in the town of Eagle. We saw red canyon, some blue herons, and some bald eagle families. Also saw Riley’s house and he even invited us to dinner; he was full of jokes! ? Because of the time of year, they provided us a wetsuit, jacket, booties, helmet, and life jacket. You dress up at the boat house before getting in the bus and can leave whatever in your car or bus. You then take off their gear at the end of the river before you get on the bus to head back. I struggled with what to wear/bring. I’d recommend wearing a swimsuit and long sleeve shirt that is quick drying. I also wore leggings but wish I hadn’t as you will definitely still get pretty wet. You may get cold but personally the wetsuit was enough coverage for me. The guys in our group had to take their hiking pants off since they couldn’t get the wetsuit on over them. There are changing rooms at the boat house but only 2 restrooms at the end of the river for changing, and were busy with lines. Wearing something you don’t need a changing room for is helpful. Also I’d recommend bringing sandals on the bus to change into at the river as you’ll be wet and it’s very sandy. I’m glad I brought my sunscreen, towel, and water on the bus. They provided us cheese, crackers, and cookies at the end. There were 8 of us plus Riley on the raft but the 2 young kids didn’t row. There was a photographer on the shore in a few areas along the way taking our pictures that you could buy at the end. You could also tip your guide with the card they had on file. We got back around 12:30pm and I was sad it was over. Definitely one of our highlights from the trip and would recommend them!

Also I think people who volunteer for the front seats on the raft should get a sticker or something as they swallow a lot of water and put in the most work! ?

Our family had a wonderful first rafting experience in Browns Canyon. There was an hour and half drive from where we were staying in Vail (Lakota picked us up!), but the extra travel time was well worth it based on our day. The view was amazing, and it was a nice mix of exciting class 3 rapids, with calm stretches to enjoy the view. Bella was our guide and she was fantastic. She was fun and made our family feel very safe. She gave really good instructions and we seemed to be navigating down the Arkansas River cleaner than some of the other rafting tours/companies. Full day trip, included lunch on a beach, it was a day my family will not forget!

The entire experience from booking directly to the very end was more than we could have asked for. Riley gave great safety instructions. Grace oversaw the travel and handled our personal items. Parker navigated the waters perfectly and with great fun! We felt safe in the thrill ride. All were personable and professional and love what they do. Safety is a priority -helmets are required - which is not the case with all whitewater rafting experiences. The equipment is well maintained. There are several rapids that come quickly so we repeated the course! So fun to do it over again. Very thrilling and we will be back!
Nice touch on the 40 minute drive back with cheese and crackers and cookies provided!

So much fun! First trip to Colorado, first rafting trip, best time! Kevin was our guide and he was a great coach! We were an organized crew by the time we finished our trip! He had us synchronized immediately and posing for the best photos on the river. He made sure we were informed and engaged our three teens along the way. It was a fabulous trip!
