Cozy, welcoming bar that hosts wonderful theatrical experiences! Oftentimes a partnership like this can be rife, but the bartenders are incredibly welcoming, chill, helpful, kind. I felt super comfortable being there, and the theater is intimate and surprisingly professional for the atmosphere around it, which was really cool. A fantastic experience!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Le Chat Noir in downtown Augusta, GA, and I can confidently say it was an incredible experience! This performative arts venue and bar truly knows how to create a memorable night out.

First off, the vibe was fantastic, especially during their Halloween celebration. The atmosphere was electric, with beautifully decorated spaces that perfectly captured the spirit of the season. The combination of live performances and a lively crowd made for an unforgettable evening.

The drink prices were surprisingly reasonable, which is always a plus in a bar setting. I enjoyed a couple of creatively crafted cocktails that were not only delicious but also easy on the wallet. The bartenders were friendly and knowledgeable, making great recommendations based on my tastes.

What really sets Le Chat Noir apart is its commitment to the arts—supporting local performers and providing a stage for a variety of acts. The talent on display was impressive, and it was clear that the audience was engaged and enjoying every moment.

Overall, Le Chat Noir is a gem in Augusta's nightlife scene. With its great pricing, vibrant atmosphere, and dedication to the arts, I can't wait to return for another show. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun night out!

Wonderful local venue with a variety of events. Definitely contributes to the character of the city. Favorites include the Black Cat Carnival for Halloween and the improv shows, and they also showcase amazingly unique visiting acts from time to time!

Can't please everyone but I definitely miss the old drink menu.

The current menu is pretty much what you'd get at a any bar. The people complaining about the old prices are crazy as the old drink menu was an experience price for higher quality mixes and ingredients and not a dive bar price.

Really miss that the old menu.

What a wonderful experience! We attended the annual spelling bee (not kid friendly just FYI). Great laughs! The MC was a hoot. The judges were solid. They did a fantastic job of including the crowd and keeping it entertaining. We wish this was bi-annual or quarterly event!

Le Chat is better than ever! I've been attending events here for years and I am so excited about the improvements that have been made post-pandemic. Not only are they providing quality, alternative entertainment, but the bar itself is excellent. I'm so glad you can now enjoy the bar and beautiful speakeasy atmosphere even on non-event nights. Their menu of craft cocktails has expanded - there are delicious drinks for all tastes, including real absinthe service. You can even carry on a conversation here without being audibly assaulted by someone playing cover songs. What a nice thing when you go out! If you're an artsy type, a cocktail enthusiast, or just looking for something ~different, Le Chat Noir is a great spot to check out. You'll be wondering why you haven't discovered it earlier.

We went to the Black Cat Circus as VICs. This was a blast. Great food, great service, wildly entertaining burlesque show. Would highly recommend to adults.

I’ve never been to the Le Chat Noir, but I have always heard great things about it, the performances, and the actors. So, the Extreme Theatre Games event was something that piqued my interest and I wouldn’t miss it for anything!!! As I walked in, I was whisked over to the red carpet and the step and repeat!!! I’m always down for photo opportunities!!! I took pictures withfriends and was able to take pictures with people I hadn’t met before. We milled around, chatted, had libations, and took pictures for a bit in the front and around the bar. We were introduced to an employee of the establishment. He filled us in on all the upcoming events and his spiel about the upcoming events. We went into the theatre, took our seats, and prepared for some great improv!!!! The whole improv experience was AMAZING!!! I’m very familiar with improv being I have taking drama classes and been in different acting situations my whole life and also one of my mother’s favorite show is Who’s Line is it Anyway. I was fully aware what improv was, but I didn’t know exact what would be presented to us. The improv troupe is called Schrondinger’s Cat, which consists of Brandon, Dani, Patrick, Michael, and Marty. They played an improv game called Extreme Theatre Games. The games are preselected improv scenes, there is a basis of each scene but the audience is asked for specifics for each scene and they are improved and acted out. It was amazing to see the troupe act off the cuff, be silly, and commit to everything they did!!! It was pretty spectacular!!! They have these improv performances every First Friday. There are always two shows, one at 8pm and the next at 10pm. I will definitely come back and check out more of them!!! This experience and event was extremely fulfilling!!! I can’t wait to indulge in the world of improv again!!!
