Great space. Made for an awesome back drop for the wedding I attended. Wish the AC pumped a little harder but it wasn't terrible and the day turned out wonderful.

Horrible experience with Shae Anderson!! She was rude and disrespectful. VERY impatient as far as communication and assured me that everything would be taken care of and accommodated on my wedding day. However, on the day of my wedding, my husband spent an hour at the venue BEFORE our wedding trying to fix the air conditioner. It was 85 degrees inside the building. Shae did not answer or respond to the several voicemails that were left. I had roughly 70 guest and the space was rented and paid for at the requested 10 hours. Because it was so hot, my guest were leaving the reception around 5:30 for a reception that had began only an hour and a half prior. They were very uncomfortable as they should've been. I have yet to hear back from this woman. I do not recommend anyone doing business here, especially not under the authority of Shae Anderson who's suppose to be the director of the Liberty Theatre.

This is a nice place to have events. The building can use some renovations. But overall it isn't so bad. I have friends who have gotten married here & had business events. There is a kitchen and clean bathrooms. I recommend hosting an event here.

I guess leaving a review would be easier if there was someone who worked in there... Or called back when you leave a message saying you'd like to view the establishment. Tried for a week to get in/make appointment by phone to view the establishment, but no luck. Judging by the management of this place, it's probably not worth the effort.

We had our high school class Christmas party here last year and it was a grand event! Very clean, spacious and nice. Love the African American art throughout the lobby.

PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ THIS REVIEW:
I highly recommend NOT booking the Liberty Theater. The executive director Shae Anderson, doesn't show any professionalism in conducting business. When the wedding coordinator was setting up the reception, there was no working A/C . Shae Anderson was called several times and did not answer or return the phone calls. She was even sent a text message notifying her of the issue. Still no response. There was a kitchen there, but the lights didn't work. So everything done in the kitchen had to be done in the dark. Wedding guests couldn't stay long because it was too hot to enjoy the reception, 85 degrees hot! Mosquitoes love the heat, so it seems as if they made the Liberty Theater their home, there were lots of mosquitoes in the building. Shae Anderson, has a bad business reputation in the Columbus area, I wish there would have been more honest reviews on here for potential customers. Hope this review helps you NOT book this location.

The place has an open floor plan. Plenty of natural lighting and also plenty of ceiling lights. There is a kitchen area to support your needs as well. It is a great venue to host any event.

What a horrible customer experience!!!! We choose this location to be a part of our special day and the management of The Liberty Theatre completely dropped the ball. The person in charge that we dealt with was rude, inaccurate on information and could care less about her customers. If your looking for a place to have any type of special day for yourself or a loved one then THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU.
