We go here almost all summer the pool is big and there is plenty of room for everyone also there is a lot of seating including picnic tables in case you bring food

I signed my daughter up for swimming because she did absolutely great last year so I assumed she would love to return. After I signed her up, I then came home and told her. I was hoping she would be excited and the opposite happened. She was mortified, she is 11 years old and is in the stage of being embarrassed in her body. She told me she doesn’t want to go because she cannot wear shorts it will slow her down. Plus she just started her period so she’s afraid to be in the water this year. I went back to Litchfield recreation to let them know how she feels and request my money back minus the recreation fee. I was given a form and had to state why I was wanting a refund. I waited over two weeks for a reply. Can you believe I didn’t get any refund at all. Not even an email that states why I was declined. I had high hopes for somewhat of a refund because this recreation center was pretty good with the kids. But now I feel different.

There is not much parking but it's not a big location. I like that there are plenty of trees for shade and it looked very clean.

Hot for the Heat/High Temps/111°. However watching these young people do their jobs teaching these kids to swim and water safety, was a joy. Took away all thoughts of the hot weather. #swiminstructors #lifeguards #studentswimmers YAY!!!

Love the swim lesson instructors! Caitlyn (sp?) is awesome. She is the reason why my 7 year old is determined to become a phenomenal swimmer. I am so thankful we found this place and that my daughter was assigned to Caitlyn's group.

I have been happy with prior child programs. I enrolled my son into basketball and they are unable to find a volunteer coach, we do not have any schedule which is extremely discouraging with multiple kids in multiple activities. Now, I find out that the costs are non-refundable if I have conflicting schedules despite their inability to secure a date/time. For the same amount of money, I would suggest using a more organized recreation program.

Great pools! Good tennis courts. This place ROCKS for summertime fun and for a nice public bathroom. Seriously. Their public bathrooms are very accommodating and very clean. Fully stocked with necessities. Flushes are kind of weak, maybe it's older plumbing? But I never had to flush more than twice. But I always had to flush at least twice. Bring your sunblock!
