Had a great time. Was our 1st time to a rodeo. Lots of food and drink vendors. Prices were all reasonable. Great weather for it today.

Negative reviews are not my thing. Yet sometimes a man has paid for something that was so poor, so uncomfortable and disappointing that he feels he must inform others. The bad things just kept happening all along this rodeo journey. I'll be brief and just hit the negative highlights.

The website is wrong. The right hand in this organization seems to not have much awareness of the left. There was no discount for early ticket purchase. In fact, one has to pay an additional $2 just to get on the grounds (not for parking) so that you can walk to the arena entrance. They oversell the capacity and packed us in like sardines. The grand entry was strange and almost unrecognizable after so many banners flags and parading that preceded it. The announcer was so busy engaging in the party, rock-concert atmosphere that several times the events became secondary and the athletes were not even announced. This was a pop-culture, rock show filled with rap, inappropriate music and a ring clown that was simply not relevant to rodeo.

Okay, there us more but if yove read this far you've got the idea. I could go on. I confess that I am old school. I've been an attendant rodeo fan for over 50 years so this trend to make rodeo into a screaming rock concert turns me off. If that is what you like though, this may be worth all the other hassles.

I had a great time at the carnival. However, I had to fight every kiddie ride personnel to allow my 36 inch child to ride. The sign up front said he measured 36 inches but all the kiddie rides said he did not. If you guys could please make sure all the ride measurements were corrected so me and other parents do not have to fight for equal access to kiddie rides for our kids. Next year I’ll bring a measuring tape to prove the stupidity I experienced today. Here’s a shout out to the other mom I helped out.

Love the rodeo, it is amazing. The #1 thing, We (group of 6) they mske you stand in line fir more than a hour before they ket you enter the arena!!! Would make more sense to let you when you get there. Then you can visit the grounds and the Vendors, get your food. BUT NO, you stand in line doing nothing. Someone needs to bring up how much revenue your losing while patrons are standing in a line waiting. SUCH A SHAME!!

Be prepared for your little ones to not be able to ride the rides. My almost 2 year old was very upset that she couldn’t even ride the carousel because their height requirements are a little insane.

The organization should bring in people who plan events. Website screams pre buy tickets, but you can not do it online so we drove and hour to pre buy days before the event only to find they are sold out. Why not say on the site "pre sales sold out". Now we get to try to buy them at the gate without knowing if they will be sold out at the gate. Goofiness. Who runs a business like this outside of the government?
