I have been boarding my horse at Mahan Farm for five years and wouldn’t have it any other way! All the other owners and riders truly care about the well being of the horses and we all look out for each other. Mahan is a beautiful facility with tons of useless amenities like multiple dressage rings, a well sized jump ring, and a massive cross county course that is very well maintained and always being updated as most of our riders are eventers. They have options for boarding your horse overnight for people passing though town because it is so close to I10 and do so much for people fleeing from hurricanes and other disasters too! I have known Brett & Lindsay for so long and love boarding with them because I know my horse is treated as one of their own! Truly the best barn, proud to board here with the best horses and horse people.

Visited Mahan Farms today for the first time. Such a beautiful facility. Lots of jumps, both arena and cross country. Pastures are superb with oak trees for shade. Easy access to I-10 and local Greenway's if more trails are needed for riding.

Mahan Farm is hands down one of the most beautiful and well kept farms in Tallahassee. The property has dressage, jump, and xc facilities and wonderful paddocks with lush grass.

Unfortunately, the farm is managed by one of the most disrespectful and irresponsible people I have ever met, Lindsay. At the time, I had just purchased my horse- he was green, and so was I (not a great combination). I thought that under the leadership of Lindsay my horse and I would excel and learn while having fun. I could not have been more wrong. Our second practice (EVER) together, she set up a bounce and told me (and my horse) to jump it. She did not teach flatwork, proper positioning, or any of the basics that lead up to the point of being ready to jump a bounce. Lindsay had no regard for my safety nor my horses', and I believe she acted with gross negligence because due to her carelessness I fell off my horse multiple times, and my horse began to refuse jumps.

On top of subpar coaching skills, she is extremely rude. She called my horse worthless, called me names, and made me feel so uncomfortable that I dreaded going to the farm. She sent disrespectful text messages to both my mother and I on multiple occasions. One time, I asked her multiple times to blanket my horse on nights that were cold, and that it was okay that it would be at an additional cost. Every time she had to do it, she would be sarcastic or rude. In fact, one Christmas Eve she sent a nasty text about having to blanket my horse, and kept trying to fight. Blanketing horses (whether part of boarding cost or at additional cost) is part of the business that comes along with running a boarding facility. Since moving, I have never experienced someone basically harass me for doing something as basic as blanketing a horse. It got to a point that both my mother and I had to block her phone number.

It is quite unfortunate that such a great facility is run by someone like Lindsay. The drama, constant string of rude messages and comments, and mediocre training explains why a lot of boarders end up leaving Mahan Farm.

Very nice camper. Stayed to ride my motorcycle around Tallahassee. Waking up next to the horses stable is super cool. Lindsay is very accommodating and replys very fast.
