The only place I will go horseback riding. Everyone we have ridden with here are amazing, friendly and talented. Plus their love for the horses shows!!! ? My heart will always belong to Hercules ?, but I have found new love in Moonshine and Wyatt. Thank you for always providing a wonderful experience and creating such amazing memories ?

It was my first time riding a horse ever and at this place. Gwen was a skilled and amazing guide and rider. I highly recommend this place for first timers! ☺️ Also, go on a weekday morning! I was the only one there with my guide. That one hour flew by so fast. :((((

Lastly, don’t be afraid, don’t overreact, be calm, firm, and kind to the horse.

Its Always going to be 5 stars! They have the best trails, the nicest employees and borders. Our horse loves it there! She's the happiest and most chunkiest pony of all the ponies in the land. Thank you Dede for having us and having such a wonderful facility.

3.35 Stars with room to grow.

Ok. I love to ride and these horses are very easy to control with a very light touch. Probably the most easy to ride in all of SoCal. So if you are a true beginner, this is your 5 star place to come.

The trail was just gorgeous this last weekend with all the rain 3/9/19. Over the summer I can see it still being very nice to visit. For all you trail hikers, this route is shared with bikes and hikers too. Excellent river access as well. Another 5 star rating.

Now to rider experience... the guides are young and very very careful. There are constant remarks being made to keep you in perfect order and horse management. It’s non stop, and kills the whole experience.

I recognize this can be dangerous fun, but three pages of waivers supports providing riders with a little control. Asking riders to stay in a perfect single file line, spaced 3-6 ft apart is an impossible expectation and prevents you from enjoying the outdoor experience.

There are both front and rear guides. The front guide horse is so slow, the horses can’t help but bunch up. The pace is literally as if a walker is leading you along. Match this with a very undulating trail where horses like humans try to get a little momentum going uphill. It’s a recipe for constant criticisms from your guides.

I’m a decent rider and do lot like constantly tugging at the reigns, but you are required to do this and make your horse suffer as a result. The strict guidelines are too much on the horses and riders.

Today’s ride was the start to my GFs bday and she loves horses. Leaving a bit disappointed I give them a ride score of 2.5 stars.

Marshall Canyon has great potential and with a bit of adjustment could be easily a 4+ star operation. The SGV needs a group to step up and I hope this place can be the difference maker.

Update: they don’t allow you to use your cellphone or take pictures.
