Beautiful open-air grassy lawn with lots of room for seated and GA concert goers. Chicago gave a great performance, as always. There's additional parking directly across the street at the Community College, with police assistance at the crosswalk.

Yesterday I spent from 1:30 PM to 8:30 pm at the Maui Arts & Culture Center, or MACC, as they refer to it here.  I was treated to their 17th annual Ukulele Festival.  I was blown away to witness the amazing versatility of an instrument I wasn't very familiar with.  From blues to rock to traditional Hawaiian music, it was all covered here.  The poetic sounds of native Hawaiian language made me wish I could have understood it, as I watched the graceful movements of the hula dancers and I knew each movement had meaning.  A large portion of the community was in attendance and the feeling of "community" was so strong.  It reminded me of how the arts bring people together. What a blessing to this wonderful community to have the MACC here.

This is a community TREASURE! So many great shows and artists have performed here through the years. There are several performance stages here. The Castle theatre is a contemporary indoor theater setting yet small enough that there are really no bad seats. The outdoor amphitheater is large enough for several thousand guests yet also still an intimate setting where you are never far from stage. There is also a gallery venue that hosts art shows and exhibitions throughout the year. For locals I would recommend joining the MACC society for discounted pricing and access to early ticket purchases.
