We had a lovely night with our elementary aged daughters at the Christmas Carol performance. This was my first time at Meadow Brook Theater and I was quite impressed. Our seats were fantastic, right in the middle. When we entered, you could tell there were no bad seats, everyone had a great view. We may make this a holiday tradition.

The cast and set were quite impressive. Everything was beautiful and elaborate. So much talent and all local performers. This was not a budget performance. During intermission, there were snacks and drinks available, cash only. And there was a lovely art display to enjoy as well. There was also merch available for purchase including sweatshirts.

Definitely recommend! We will be going back.

Plays are plays so let's discuss the venue.

1.
Decent venue, not a bad seat in the house.

Our seats were 104 & 103 in Row J.

We looked and scouted the seats, but chose to sit in the top row seats 105 & 106

Excellent.

2.
The hallway or corridor is crowded and a bit claustrophobic.

How so?
Its narrow and tight.
Plus the ticket booth is crammed right near door one, plus within 10 feet of the entrance, creating a bottleneck.

For instance at
5:50pm with a 6pm curtian
There was 27 people in line for "will call tickets"

Trying to navigate that hall to reach the bathrooms, 200 yards away was difficult.

Parking was good.

I would think twice before returning to Meadow Brook.

My husband and I have been visiting this theater for over 35 years. There really isn't a bad seat. The sound is phenomenal. The plays are extremely good! Some as good as Broadway. We have never seen a play that we were disappointed in.

Our family's yearly event: A Christmas Carol! The beautiful student-made set is ingenious in its presentation of different scenes by the versatile rotation of the set. The hidden trap door in the floor adds to the eerie presence of the Ghosts, long-dead Jacob Marley and the darkly hooded Christmas Future. Clad in the carefully reconstructed garb of Old England, the characters are able to believably fabricate a time of yore with old-fashioned holiday cheer.
We're on our 3rd generation of family members who make this trek an annual event, with tiny new family additions coming up close behind.

Saw A Christmas Carol here 12/12. Very clean beautiful theatre's. Great show, also! Can't wait to come back!

While the space to wait outside the theatre is pretty cramped, the show my family and I saw made me forget about it in the moment. The ladies of my extended family and I went to see Strangers on a Train, which was phenomenal. All of the actors did an amazing job, and I was at the edge of my seat the whole time. The seating was cramped (as you would expect from an older theatre), but the rows and seats were clearly labeled. Go to the Meadow Brook Theatre with the show in mind, luxury seating and space should be a secondary thought. With that, I give the theatre 5/5 stars because I was THAT impacted by the play. Bravo!
