Mud Creek is a fabulous organization. They allow a quality experience for all ages who love theater. My children, now grown had an experience of creativity and friendship like no other while participating in Barn Rats. When my daughter reached high school age, the youth program was an integral part of her high school experience. The shows were excellent and experience of stage craft and all other aspects of putting on a show very enriching for her. There was something for everyone, and the sense of fellowship among them all like nothing else. I have always enjoyed the people and spirit at Mud Creek. Queenie was my favorite in this latest show. She had real pizzazz. She reminded me of the drama coach in High School Musical. I also loved the brother. It was a great job

I had the chance to see The Taming of the Shrew here as part of Bardfest, and it was fantastic. The actors were exceptional, and it was a neat space.

For this rating I am going to split it up.
First will be about the theater and facilities, Second will be about the play I got to see.
Part one:
On the parking lot, whoever said to pay for blacktop should be rewarded. Lot was well planned out and with two entrances you had several options to not get stuck.
The building was very nice. My apologies, I didn't check the concessions or the bathroom to report on those.
The seats were very nice and padded. Wasn't uncomfortable throughout the show.
The lighting and the set were great.
Part two: this is community theater We went to the matinee showing of the play "In-laws, Outlaws, and Other People: That Should be Shot" by Steve Franco. The actors (both male and female) were great. In the opening scene the father and daughter set the stage for the rest of the play and the rest of the cast truly live up to the expectations. I was able to identify myself as well as other family members as portrayed by the cast. Really worth the money spent when you realize that everyone involved are volunteers.
Will for sure go back. Much happier spending my money here vs going to see a movie.

They don’t allow children in the theater. You have to stand outside in the lobby.

*edit since they want to respond TWO YEARS later- our child was not disruptive. He was smiling and clapping along to the show as was everyone else. Your employees and actors targeted us as soon as we walked through the door. Whoever runs this place needs to get it together and seek professional help. You are completely delusional.

I have been to more than my share of cramped, uncomfortable community theatre spaces, but this might be the most cramped and uncomfortable of the lot. The shows I've seen here have ranged from "I don't know how I'm going to get through this" terrible to pretty good. I would give 2.5 stars if I could, but I've rounded up. I suspect the majority of folks going to shows here, like other community theatres, are there to support people who are in or worked on the play and thus don't really have any say in where they attend these shows, and I think it's fair to say that the experience here reflects that.
