Tank (Bishon 15 yrs.) & Tyson (American Bulldog 12 yrs.) have been coming here since puppies. The care received for just about 14 years; whether medical, grooming or boarding has always been exceptional. Dr. Han has an amazing staff from the front to the back who show so much love to our doggies!!! Our little guy (Tank) has been groomed by Jamie since the beginning and does an exceptional job! My little one has lost sight & hearing & yet they are still so very gentle with him.

Also, I love the fact that when we are able to have our fur babies in the same cage when boarding them. I feel so secure in knowing that they’re together when we have had to leave them.

Here’s a major plus that I love about this place…It ALWAYS smells so good. Whatever they use; I promise you will never trace the smell of stinky puppies when you walk in that door!🤣

My pup went through something traumatic and the staff here were wonderful to him and to me as I was a blubbering mess! They truly care and were professional. The facilities are always kept clean and when I wanted to see a tour of their boarding facilities they welcomed me to do so. Hours are different than other facilities. There is no Dr. on Wednesdays but they accept grooming and prescription pickups. They communicate well when Dr will be out of office via proactive emails weeks in advanced. All things I appreciate from a walk-in for office. No appointments.

My Black Lab has been dealing with a constant ear infection.
The Vet in Portage wasn't doing anything productive so I decided to try the Munster Animal Hospital,
What a difference, Dr Won is a intelligent and compassionate doctor.
He is treating Maddie the way she needs to be treated.
They have a great staff there as well.

Great dr.s and staff! They explained everything very well and easy to understand. They treated my girl(whose a ball of energy/anxiety) so great. Very accommodating. They are expensive but aside from that amazing!

I recently boarded my dog Milo at the Munster Animal Hospital for 12 days, despite my initial nervousness due to a previous bad experience at another facility. I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent service provided by the staff. They kept me in the loop whenever I called for updates, which helped alleviate my anxiety. The prices for boarding were midrange compared to other locations. While Milo needed to be up to date on his shots, the hospital accepted proof from other reputable vets, which saved us additional costs. Overall, I would highly recommend Munster Animal Hospital for boarding services. In the future, when we can't take our fur baby with us, we will definitely consider boarding him there again. As a bonus, Milo even came back with a new scarf, which was a thoughtful touch.

I have seen Dr. Foster twice since my 16-year-old dog began having seizures. During the first visit, despite the $150++ fee, the only recommendation was to monitor our dog and keep notes of seizure activity since it was a first seizure and medication could make pup worse. PET PARENTS NOTE: "JUSTASK.COM" offers online vet consultations for only $5.

During the second visit, my dog had a seizure in the exam room. Initially, Dr. Foster dismissed it, only acknowledging it after a minute of persistent activity. We were prescribed Phenobarbital despite my concerns about its side effects, particularly increased anxiety and insomnia—issues I had encountered before with this medication.

Dr. Foster stated Phenobarbital was the only option available at Munster Animal Hospital and did not offer to write a prescription for alternative seizure meds that could be filled at any pharmacy in Indiana, such as Walgreens or CVS. PET PARENTS NOTE: Animal medications can often be obtained from human pharmacies.

Following Dr. Foster’s recommendation, I administered the Phenobarbital, but my dog became extremely anxious and wouldn't sleep, leading to a sleep-deprived household.

Feeling my dog deserved better care, I switched to Dr. Butler at Valparaiso Animal Hospital, 30 miles away. Since starting Keppra for seizures, my dog has been calm, sleeps through the night, and is much happier.

PET PARENTS NOTE: Phenobarbital is not the only seizure medication available for dogs. Zonisamide and Keppra are two that are very safe options and work great.

I CANNOT RECOMMEND MUNSTER ANIMAL HOSPITAL, but I wholeheartedly endorse Dr. Butler @ Valparaiso animal hospital due to the thorough, extensive, and gentle care received.

Dr. Han had a hostle attitude towards me when I tried to ask basic questions. He actually said "Tell you what..why don't you let me do my job". He didn't even look at my dog's chart and had no idea that he was a recurring patient suffering from bone cancer. So much for him doing his job.

My dog Rigby, (there are four receptionist. lady to the far right, older) called him Wrigley & nurse called him something else.) two receptionist were eating snacks. very unprofessional and gross( was a hair or something on her cheese ball she took it off and she saw me see that, she eat it)
Doctor came in and diagnosed my dog with a heart murmur and suggested x-rays & such. Now The receptionist were Ok (besides). Dr. was polite.
came out to be about $750. Can’t pay it.
Visit into see the doctor cost $110.00. Ok.
I am glad you don’t need an appointment to come here, but you better be ready to pay for you loved one.
P.s. Rigby is still sick…
