Beautiful park, and grounds! Great spot for the Washunga Days Festival!

The river walk looks really nice, but we spent our entire visit here at the playground. This is a wonderful little park with areas perfect for children of all ages. There is an area that was just right for my 2 year old, as well as an area that was a little bigger for my 4 year old. There were also some small climbing walls that would be great for bigger children. There are plenty of tables for picnics and a good area as well. The park was very clean too!

The river walk had a decent amount of paved trails, and a few places you can cross the river. There was lots of parking and a nice playground nearby. There are trash cans and dog waste stations. There is a small bridge my kids loved and a tall bridge they didn't care for (too scary), and one alongside the road we didn't use. The trail ends on one side at a historic site that was closed when we got there, at a high school at the other end, and into the woods and a field on the other sides. It was beautiful and clean and we enjoyed it. I wouldn't expect it to take all day, but we got a good couple of hours out of it, going down the different trails and playing on the play ground.

Awesome trail walking alongside the beautiful greenbelt and her waterways of Central Kansas' hill-prairie country. Those in the know about the abundance of hidden beauties this part of Kansas loves to offer will completely understand.

It's really nice. Well kept, nice scenery, easy walk, fountain sound. Just don't go I the water. Nice greenery, sidewalks to bridges, umbrella trees.
