Situated in SoMa/Folsom, OASIS is a well-known gay bar that often hosts themed nights and drag shows. However, the Black Friday/Thanksgiving weekend experience was a mixed bag.

Ambience: Friendly vibes with a slightly more relaxed energy. Not overly crowded, but still engaging.

Decor: Retro-chic with a versatile performance space that caters to diverse themes. Check out their Rooftop alfresco seating especially during warmer months.

Crowd: Welcoming and inclusive, though the numbers were low for a holiday weekend.

Drinks: Specialty cocktails are a standout, and the drinks pack a punch.

Entertainment: The drag performance leaned heavily on 50s and 60s music, which might not appeal to everyone. The real stars of the night were the go-go boys, who brought dynamic dance moves and acrobatics that wowed the audience.

Music: Themed music tied to the drag performance; nostalgic but may not suit modern tastes.

Pro Tips: Be prepared for the $30 cover charge (drinks not included). Grab a strong cocktail and find a good spot to enjoy the go-go boys.

Overall: OASIS SF offers a mix of performances and cocktails, though the experience may depend on the theme of the night. Worth visiting for the go-go dancers and friendly atmosphere, but the steep cover charge could be a downside.

Classic spot for drag shows. Bathroom is large and, despite the long lines, moves pretty quickly.

Has a coat check and two bars. The hidden gem is definitely the rooftop — and they livestream the main stage so you won’t miss any performances! ?

It’s a bit rough around the edges, but that’s part of what makes it so fun. Nothing like a classic grungy SOMA drag club!

I love Oasis. The vibes are amazing and they know how to have fun. It's totally unique to SF and absolutely worth a visit.I have been to their shows earlier in the night and recently went for dancing / a drag show.

I never thought I'd have a problem with drinks being too strong at a bar but my friend and I were both completely destroyed. She had 2 drinks and spent the rest of the night throwing up outside and not remembering anything. I had 3 drinks (I'm a 6 foot 5 man) and I've spent the last 2 days with one of the worst hangovers of my life. You very often can't gauge how strong a cocktail is as your drinking. So when you order 3 drinks over the span of 2 hours you dont expect there to be 2 or 3 shots worth of alcohol in each drink. That is dangerous and it made us both horribly ill.

I love this venue! All of the staff are very sweet. Inside the venue has such a cool layout. There is a cool outside patio you can smoke on. My only complaints are if you are under 5’7 like myself, then you will most likely struggle to see. It would be nice if the catwalk was just a bit higher so the shortys can see better. This venue gets some of the biggest names in drag so it gets really packed with most of their shows being sold out. I personally think they over pack the venue a bit. It gets real cramped and makes it even harder to see. I know they gotta make their money…. But I honestly think they could make more money if they didn’t pack it the way they do because then people can access the bar better. It gets to the point where you can’t get to the bar for a drink so they are probably losing out on a lot more than they realize. These are why my review is a 4 star instead of a 5. Hopefully they don’t pack it as much in the future and then I’ll be back on here to change to a 5 star! Regardless of these things I love this place and will continue coming every other month!

If you are visiting the 11th Street & Folsom area for a late night party vibe, then Oasis should be on the list. The crowd is always livelier than most and the drag & costumes are Vegas quality. Friday and Saturday are great times to visit.

Lost my AirPods here and in any other scenario I know I wouldn’t have gotten it back. The amazing people working here helped me track it down and gave it back in perfect condition. Can’t be more thankful to them.

Also amazing shows, great music, energetic vibes, and heavy pours on the drinks are a huge draw.

the bartender with the long beard refused to give me water when the water jug was empty. they said “figure it out yourself babe”. it was extremely rude and irresponsible.
