Absolutely the most amazing thing I've ever seen in person. Laila Carter was the Lead in the little Mermaid and was flawless. There could not have been a better show put on by the entire cast included. The little dancers were awesome as well.

Both of my children have been involved with OYP and OYSP at different levels over the last several years. With encouragement from instructors and fellow students my daughter was able to push her limits and experience things that she never would have tried on her own, including singing a solo on stage. Our family is thankful for the influence this organization has had in our lives!

We have participated in many classes, shows and summer camps. We’ve never experienced anything but positivity, support, and excellent direction. We are so thankful for our experiences there and look forward to continuing until our youngest graduates from high school! And even after that, if a role seems appropriate, we will continue to participate in and come to see OYP shows!

For about ten years now I have watched in near amazement as this studio brings out the talents and abilities of children and young people. These kids become seasoned dancers and actors/actresses and the musicals are of professional quality. You would swear these are Broadway performers. The owners, Shane and Terra, are super people and the teachers love the kids they work with. My 26 y o son and my 16 y o daughter have been there ten years. It's been a great experience for us all.

OYP has nurtured our sons love of performing. The directors encouraged him to audition for his first show, and several years later, he hasn’t missed an opportunity to be on stage with his OYP friends. Most recently, the directors and several OYSP teachers and students, took time to watch him in a performance outside of OYP. This support demonstrates the bonds OYP has fostered with all those involved in their programs. We are so thankful to have found OYP and look forward to many more years of learning from and performing with them.

We have had both of our daughters experience the nurturing and creative environment of OYP since 2007. Shane and Terra are unparalleled in their creative energies and ability to give children of all levels of ability the environment to learn and display their individualized talents. Owners Terra and Shane have built something really special—a place that not only offers superior performing arts training and opportunities to perform at a high level to hundreds of children, but also a supportive, inclusive community that I and many other former students continue to think of as a “second home.”

Some of my fondest memories include my time at OYSP/OYP. My love for theater was cultivated here and I always experienced the utmost support and encouragement from the wonderful directors and staff. Although a community theater, the shows are comparable to professional shows I have seen. This place is definitely special and will help you grow not only as a performer but also as a person.
