Good views from every seat. Aisles are down the middle and house right. Audible tech queues from the back couple of rows, which can be distracting. Bring your drink into the theater. Make a lane reservation at mission bowl for after the performance.

As an audience member, please remove your hat for the performance. Wearing a hat and leaning forward in your seat blocks the view for people behind you.

Big open space on the bowling alley. Open terrace toward the street. Nice clean bathrooms. Friendly staff. Cocktails, wine, beer and cava. ($3 Tecate Cans). Quick boets with vegan options.

I've been taking classes at the dance Commons for 12 years and only now have I started going to ODC dance theater for watching performances. I saw two this year and they were both outstanding based on the themes and/or dance prowess. The venue is small but intimate which allows you to see the dancers. Not only that, but it depending on the show , some of the dancers may go into the audience and use the stairs and walls as their "floor." Conveniently located across the street from a nice bar and restaurant, there are other food and cafe options nearby for pre-show. During the day, they even have their own cafe which is pretty good.

The seats all have close-up visibility, the stage is large enough for many different groups to feature different themes. And every show I've seen there has been really great - creative, professional & beautiful. It's my favorite dance performance hall in SF

The dancers on stage kept spinning around, flapping their arms, and making threatening gestures. Always on guard, I assumed that they were preparing themselves to beat me up (and make fun of me). Turns out - they were just interpreting the story of someone who had been beaten and detained by I.C.E. Phew! Thank goodness I wasn't being made fun of or beaten up, and I was just witnessing a horrifying story about fascism.

Beautiful small theatre. We saw Amy Seiwert's Sketch 4 at ODC (which was AWESOME). It was a wonderful intimate setting.

Their calendar is chock full of awesome things to see.

If you are in San Francisco, or not, it's a great place to catch an event.
