It is a beautiful, historic home with two of the most welcoming hosts! Breakfast was always amazing and our stay could not have been better. This was a honeymoon trip for us and the location allowed us to spend time exploring Duluth and also Jay Cooke State Park. We spent evenings on the beautiful 3-season porch playing board games. The home is within walking distance of a few restaurants/cafes and a new bookstore - not to mention hiking trails!

This is our second time at Oldenburg House. Glenn and Emily are warm and caring people. We absolutely LOVE this place. Grounds are nice and house is beautiful. Rooms are clean and bed is comfortable. The breakfast is awesome. I would stay here over and over!

Glen and Emily are great hosts, very welcoming. Loved the house and property information was so interesting, as was Glen. Breakfast was great and had interesting company during the meal. And their dog, Suki....loved Suki!! Would definitely stay here again!

My wife and I stayed here while seeing Clint Black at the Black Bear Casino. The house is immaculate. The house has a lot of history of its own. The breakfast was fabulous. Great bacon. Home cooked bread and jelly. Excellent Frittatas .
Glenn and Emily take great pride in providing a 1st class experience. It was a joy to visit with them over breakfast.

Gorgeous bed and breakfast, with amazing hosts! Emily and Glenn were both a pleasure to get to know, and their dog Suki is the cutest thing alive. Emily was great with communicating their plans throughout the day, and both of them are amazing chefs; the breakfasts were all so unique and tasty!

As for the rooms themselves, all of the rooms are nicely updated, clean, and each offer their own uniqueness. Highly recommend the Jay Cooke suite if you plan on staying for more than a few nights, like we did; it has a generous sized bathroom complete with washer and dryer, which Emily is more than happy to let you use if needed.

Be aware that it is a little bit of a drive to downtown Duluth, if that is why you are visiting. But the drive itself is so gorgeous, especially if you take highway 210 through Jay Cooke State Park, that it is well worth it. Overall, if you are the bed and breakfast type, I would highly recommend staying here on your next trip to the North Shore!
