This is where superheroes work. The staff was so helpful and quick to respond to my application. They really make sure the dog is going to be the right fit for you. Also, are vet was impressed by the great dental and spay/neuter work that was done there. We recently adopted a little white chihuahua named Pip (now named Roo) and it was love at first sight. She came highly recommended by the staff and boy did she not disappoint! She is the most loving, sweet, gentle and well behaved dog I’ve ever known. She has really changed my life for the better. I love loving her! ❤️🐾

Great shelter. They take good care of the dogs and really help to match you with the right one. The adoption process is very reasonable, and we were able to meet this pup and take him home that day (great! Because it was true love!) He's been with us 4 months now and we just love him.

It is a great place to find a friend like Ollie (formerly Ernie). If you're not ready for that level of commitment, you can take adoptable dogs for walks or foster a dog in need for a short period. Great organization, amazing folks, 10/10 recommend!!

I adopted Bandit at the grand opening weekend. Bandit is such a sweet boy. I was looking for a dachshund mix which is what we thought he was, turns out on his DNA there is no dachshund in him what so ever. But that's ok he was well taken care of at ODR. He is a trucking dog and loves being by my side all day. If I put my hand on my lap he will gentle take my hand with his mouth and move it to his paw just so I can hold his paw. I try to stop at loves truck stops that have nice fenced areas for him to exercise he is absolutely perfect dog. Funny thing is his DNA came out as a husky, pekanise, pomeranian, lab mix. What a combination.

I first connected with Oregon Dog Rescue (ODR) as a volunteer trainer, and I was immediately impressed by the dedication and care the staff shows for every dog. Many team members are so invested that they foster and adopt the very dogs they care for—literally bringing their work home with them.

Over the time I’ve spent training dogs at ODR, I had the incredible fortune of finding my soul dog, Unicorn. My family and I adopted her, and now she helps train both ODR dogs and my clients' dogs. ODR has brought so much joy into my life, and I’m grateful to be part of such a compassionate and hardworking community!
