When I started planning my wedding, the Orpheum was at the top of my list for reception venues. My husband and I met performing in the theater so we knew we wanted to have our reception in a theater. There are many theaters in New Orleans to choose from, but as soon as I walked in the Orpheum, I knew this was the perfect place for our wedding. I chose very early on to have a 1920s themed wedding reception. The Orpheum being a theater built in the 20s, made it the absolute ideal setting. I had a very clear vision in mind. I wanted our wedding reception to feel like a complete immersive experience. I wanted the night to have a clear flow from a 1920s jazz club to a banger of a party that could rival Studio 54. I had many things happening all night long. It was very much a production. Kelly was there every step of the way to make sure we had a flawless event. It absolutely could not have happened without her and her team. From our first meeting, she was open to all of my ideas and seemed genuinely excited for everything I had planned. From the sound, to the lighting, to the bar staff, to the production staff, every single thing was PERFECT. I cannot express enough how amazing Kelly and the staff at the Orpheum are. I couldn’t stop smiling all night. One staff member even came up to us to show his outfit because he dressed up for our 20’s theme. That made me so happy. They all seemed to really care about us and it showed. Our after party at the Double Dealer kept the party going even longer. Our guests have not stopped messaging us about what an incredible party it was. I can truly say our wedding reception would not have been the same had it not been for The Orpheum, Kelly, and the entire staff. They made my 1920s wedding dreams come true. I cannot thank them enough.

Sat front row of the loge for 'A Christmas Without Tears'. First time here and really impressed. Great old school theater in really good shape. Great show, too! Looking forward to seeing a music concert here!

Update: saw Andy Grammer there tonight and sat front row of the Gallery. It's high up, but front row still gets you plenty close and the sound was spot on. Seeing Lake Street Dive here in late summer and pumped knowing how great this venue is!
