Otsego County Dog Park - Gaylord, Michigan

Was looking for a dog park for my girl to play in. Since it came up on the "open now" options I expected it to be easier to get to. The wrong entrance was on Google so I drove right by it. Then there's no signage other than by the road so I have no idea where I'm supposed to park so I just parked behind the business that's across from the park. I started walking through what I imagine is the parking lot for the dog park (again no signage whatsoever) and got past where a car went and sunk mid calf in snow. Went a little further before deciding it wasn't worth it.
May say open but definitely recommend an open park over this as parks are better maintained in winter.

This dog park is very clean and has great amenities for dogs. There are 2 spaces for large and small-sized dogs. There is ample room for running and trees for shade. The grounds appear to be well-maintained. We enjoy bringing our 2 Boston Terriers here while staying at our cottage. It's a great place for them to run, play, and be social!

Vary nice size dog park the entrance is kinda harder to find. Pics are of 20+lbs side. The 19lbs under is right beside but much smaller

The parking lot is a little hard to find, since it's not directly next to the road. You turn onto a drive, go past a fence, and turn left and you'll see it ahead of you.

There is a small dog and a large dog area. The large dog area is a large rectangle. This gives your doggy a large area to run. The area is a little boring. There's no tunnels or climbing thing, no agility course. Just an open space. They could use some benches. That being said the dog seemed to love it.

Overall a 4 star review. Would I return? Yes, when in the area with my puppy.

So glad Gaylord has a dog park! And what a great place! After driving 100s of miles with my two GSD mixes, both seniors with achy joints, this is a God-send. A place for them to stretch their legs and just be dogs, unattached to a leash for a few minutes, after a fun --but constantly leashed -- vacation. We still have many hours on the road after this, but this was just what they needed!

The park is very clean, nice, with lots of trees for sniffing, room to romp and play, dishes for water, and baggies for clean up. Ideal! Thanks so much Otsego Co.!

Fence gates need major maintenance and need one gate for large kennel year around that way other doors not left open. To easy dogs get out. Looks like not we'll kept. Which shame could be really nice dog park

The one time I was there, there were at least 15. I have a pit/mastiff mix pup..I was so scared of the reaction to her but the ppl were wonderful on that day...the damn male dogs were trying to mount her and she was so passive (yes she is fixed)...I was amazed how well all the dogs behaved that day...I want her to be around dogs and it worked great!!
