I would absolutely recommend this event center to anyone who needed a beautiful, functional, and accommodating venue for their special event. My husband and I had our wedding reception there and we were extremely happy with the entire experience. Stacy was professional, great to work with, helpful, and made the entire planning process a breeze. The food was good, the service was even better, and everything went exactly the way we wanted it to go. The staff that helped do our wedding reception were phenomenal and extremely nice as well. Thank you Otsego Grand for making our day so special and memorable.

Get your event catered by Otsego Grand!! I cannot recommend them highly enough! Patty was an absolute joy and pleasure to work with. She catered to our needs, wants, budget, and so much more. Right when we first met with Patty, it felt like we were meeting with an old family friend. She takes you in and makes sure you are taken care of. The quality of care and attention to detail is out of this world. She truly made our wedding stress free and took care of everything. And that's just the service! The food was 11 out of 10. It was so tasty and our guest could not stop talking about it. I would highly recommend getting the veggie spring rolls for an app, and then the Herb En-Crusted Beef Tenderloin served with Cabernet Demi-Glace and a Creamy Horseradish Sauce. SO GOOD!

We used the Otsego Grand Event Center to cater the food at our wedding (at the Sojourn Lakeside Resort). We initially contacted Patty to set up a tasting on the same day that we had scheduled a walk-through of the wedding venue. She was very friendly and set up a time that worked for us. On the day we did our tasting, Patty walked us through all of the details surrounding the catering. We discussed different food options, appetizers, drinks, etc. The food we had on our tasting was so good that we didn't sample any other entrees - we choose both entrees we sampled for our wedding and stuck with them. We also sampled the Bavarian pretzels and had them (along with a fruit/vegetable tray) as an appetizer at our wedding. Summary of the food: Outstanding.

The other part of what made The Otsego Grand Event Center a great vendor was their service. Every employee that we interacted with was extremely friendly, and eager to help out. Patty herself was phenomenal. Since her business frequently works with our wedding venue, she was allowed to come to the location the day before our wedding to set up. After she had set up her things for our wedding, we had a rehearsal dinner at the same venue. The caterer that we used for the rehearsal dinner had some sort of confusion/mix up and used all of Patty's plates/warmers, etc. to serve us. I should note that I (groom) wasn't aware of this until the next day. Apparently Patty took all of her things back to the Otsego Grand Event Center, cleaned all of the plates/warmers etc., and re-set them up for us. I heard this information the next day second-hand because Patty had voluntarily done this without asking for reimbursement, and had asked that the bride not be informed, because she didn't want her to stress or worry about anything. This is a testament to the service that The Otsego Grand Event Center provides, and to Patty's character and desire for excellence.

On our wedding day everything went off without a hitch. The food was outstanding, the caterers were extremely friendly, and Patty was around to make sure.

Patty and her staff did an absolutely amazing job for my recent wedding in Gaylord. She was very organized, professional, very helpful and made sure everything went great for the day. Could not have asked for a better caterer and planner. Would use Grand Event Center in a heartbeat if I had to do it all over again!

I attended a wedding and reception here August 10th. I have to say when we pulled into the parking lot I was underwhelmed but that changed as soon as I walked inside. It was lovely. The outdoor area was perfect for the wedding and luckily the weather was perfect as well. The only drawback was you could hear some traffic noise. The food was buffet style which worked well and the staff kept tables cleared constantly. It was very clean. You can tell the owners are working very hard to make this place go. I would guess there were around 125 guests and that would be about the most you could accommodate here.

If I could give them no stars I would. They cancelled on me months before my wedding. The only reason I knew is because I kept trying to get a hold of them. FINALLY I heard back that they could no longer cater my wedding. No explanation was given. I heard they did the same for several others.
