We had family members in the Thingamajig production of, The Lion King, at the Pagosa Springs Centre for the Arts. This was our family's first time participating in one of their theater camps, and we could not have asked for a more lovely experience. Ms. Laura is the education person, not sure if I have her title correct, and she was gracious, helpful and extremely professional! Our kids were well-treated, and learned discipline, how to collaborate, and most importantly to have fun on stage!
As you walk around the inside, you can see the playbills from earlier productions which made us wish we had known about this earlier so we could have attended some of the shows. There are two stages, one in the front and one in the back. The lobby was sweetly decorated for Christmas and had a festive air about it. The outside patio has a fireplace which was helpful as we stood in line waiting for the doors to open.
There was a small gift shop, and a place to purchase snacks. There was also a large water station where anyone could help themselves to a cool drink. All of the staff, especially Ms. Laura's mom whose name I regretfully did not get, were kind, friendly and helpful. When there was a ticket crunch, they allowed us to wait inside as they figured out how to add more parents, grandparents, and other family members to the theater. The lighting, the music, and the set were splendiferous, with comfortable chairs in the seating area.
Our family is looking forward to the next play, which will most likely encourage us to visit Pagosa Springs more often.
I always give the bathrooms, anywhere, particular scrutiny and they were spotless and eclectically decorated. It was very nice that they utilized white, cloth hand-towels, in the bathroom for a small but important, contribution to less paper products in the trash.
I'm going to join the friends of Pagosa Springs Centre for the Arts so that I am notified well in advance of the Theatres happenings. I highly recommend you check this wonderful art center out!

The Center for the Arts is also known as the Thingamajig Theater. Wonderful performers from all over the States. This is our 3rd performance, Mama Mia, Jeckel and Hyde and Ring of Fire. The Theater had a formal Gala/fund raiser, we attended. We were able to have a guided tour of the theater with the Actors. Fascinating how many clothing changes the Actors go through during 1 performance. Great theater, very intimate and entertaining. Some of the pictures are of the restrooms. Kosmo

We saw Jersey Boys at this terrific venue while vacationing in Pagosa. Broadway talent! Excellent production. It was the absolute best part of our time in town and will definitely go back every time we are in the area. So impressed. Thank you.

Great little theater! We were visiting Pagosa Springs and decided to check out the show Jersey Boys. It was well performed by great talent. They did a great job with props and using the space they had available. I would come back and watch another show any time.

I had no idea we had this in Pagosa. We went to the School of Movement Halloween Party, and had an amazing time. It's beautiful inside - even the restrooms!!

We've seen three productions at this theatre, and loved them all. Each performance was stronger than the last. The actors were extremely talented and showed such range, and the sets and direction were fabulous! The staff took care to seat us in a handicap accessible location. I highly recommend Thingamajig theater and will be donating to them as I am able.
