It was Saturday, May 4th, 2024. My son and I are training to ride the Katy Trail. This is our first time bike packing and we chose the Raccoon River Valley Trail for our maiden voyage. We had just completed the detour between Redfield and Linden (the trail was being being replaced with new concrete). We arrived in Panora and saw Pedal-in. It was 2:58pm when we made it to the door. On the door is a sign "closing at 3:00 pm". We walked inside and asked how firm the time was because we had ridden from West Des Moines and had planned on eating here. A woman stated that she did not mess with cyclists and that she would feed us. It was our lucky day. We both had a cheese burger with curley fries and it was delicious. The atmosphere was relaxing with a modern yet 50's feeling. Highly recommend visiting this establishment. Thank you for caring for the cycling community. I hope you know how much we appreciated your establishment and especially you and your staff for feeding the two of us. This stop in our adventure is one of the best highlights that we talk about and tell others about.

I can't rate the food, we didn't get our order. We place an order for a salad and a salad wrap at 12:15 today. We got our drinks (self serve) at 12:45, I checked on our order, was told by Nicole, they were being prepared. The place/tables were about half full, when we placed our order. By 12:59, I went to cancel our order, which was about to be served but instead of a salad and a wrap, there was just two salad bowls. Nicole refunded me for the food order minus our drinks and the 15% tip, which turned into a 50% tip for the drinks. Won't tip in advance, if I go back.
The place has potential, not up to par as the previous Kick Stand, yet.

Perfect stop on Raccon River Valley Trail. The coleslaw in creamy with the right amount of sour and sweet. Very homemade taste. The ice cream was damn good too

Great food
The new owner is doing a great job.
The whole family are good people.
The tenderloin is great.
The chicken tenders fantastic and huge.
The burgers are cooked to perfection.
Finish up your meal with an ice cream treat.

Very good food. I have eaten there 3 times having something different each time and have enjoyed it all. The only thing that I think could be better so far is if the tenderloins were a little bigger. Otherwise the fries, onion rings and cheese balls have all been good. I also enjoyed the cheeseburger, pizza burger and the breaded tenderloin though as mentioned above I wish it would have been a little bigger.

Just stopped in for an ice-cream cone. They have soft-serve vanilla, chocolate, or twist. You can also get a variety of sundaes or malts. I had a twist cone. It was good. The price was good. And, the service was good. I'm sure I'll be back as I drive through this town frequently.
