Saw my first show in the new space! Seeing them grow to where they are now has been a treasure of mine.
I loved seeing new faces on stage; their efforts to expand into the local communities.
I saw the show "The Prom". I previously watched a few minutes into the musical movie adaption and I KNEW this was a show I wanted to see. The tongue in cheek quips and lyrics are honestly funny.
The casting was honestly perfect. The showcased actors were convincing and they knocked my socks off with their vocal talent. I am excited to see how the community responds to this show.
I look forward to more opportunities for peppermint creek to grow into the space more.

I saw ' how to defend yourself' and I enjoyed this performance very much. They did a great job with a tough subject, and yet they were sensitive about it. The actors all conveyed their parts very well, sadly I'm sure they all were able to draw upon experience for these roles.
It was entertaining, thought provoking and a bit sad at times. I feel they really captured the helplessness people feel after these events, the desire to do something, and the frustration and inability to change the way things are and pf course the aftermath of systemic injustice and violence against women. I'm glad I saw it, I recommend you see it too!
Can't wait to see more of their performances!

I had the fortune of catching Peppermint Creek's first musical, "The Prom," in their new permanent venue. The seats are comfortable, the stage is multifaceted, and the cast and crew handily made the most of every inch of the space! Impressive choreography, incredible singers, hilarious leads, and a heart-melting couple at the core of it all. Would definitely recommend.

There was good acting but not my thing. Not because of age gap but because the play itself needs more clarity and focus. I found the ending contrived and, unless it was a reality leap, not in keeping with the written summary of the play that referred to Susanna as a sorority sister.
To paraphrase the person sitting next to me, I’d need to see it again to understand what was going on—but I don’t want to see it again.
You can do better.

Just went to see “How to Defend Yourself” directed by Sally Hecksel. The show was incredibly impactful, well casted, and leaves the audience contemplating their role in the patriarchal constructs that we all participate in. Elena Billard as “Kara” presents a gut wrenching character with an enormous range of emotion, whose trauma helps to deliver the weighty message of the play overall. Other performers I enjoyed include TJ Kelly’s performance as “Eggo,” a lovable guy frustrated about his interactions with the opposite sex, and Carmen Zavala-Kelly, whos performance as “Diana” is so realistic it is almost scary. Especially her obsession with guns. I would highly recommend anyone to come see this show. 🙂
