I got the most beautiful Yorkie on the planet!!! Barbara and all her co-workers were the best. They honestly care about the animal's in that pet store and the people they sell to. I am so happy now. I have a new road dog. I named her Jazmine, it's Persian and it means "gift from God " I wake up now with a smile on my face every day. Thank you Petland in Merriville.

Me and my friend come in here at least once a week just to visit. Everyone here is so caring, but Barb specifically is amazing and has created such a personal bond with me and my friend and is so welcoming no matter the time. Although we can’t afford a dog, we always always always make sure to come in and give them all love, especially at the end of the day when we get to see ones who haven’t been played with as much for the day.

Don’t get in any agreement with them. Find your own vet after you buy a pup from here. If you’re wanting to spend 5k+. Not worth paying all that money, they make it seem like they do so much for you on their “dime” it’s all a scam. They cover the spay, neuter if you drop over 1k for your dog within the first 3 months to this coyne vet. on top of paying all of this money to them! They have a contract with coyne solely to bring them business. Go somewhere else!! Or don’t buy from here at all. I wish I would’ve done my research before buying a puppy from a store! Also the spay/neuter is about $300. Save your money don’t let them talk you into thinking they do so much for the animals before giving them to you, they have a lot of “ties” with them doing stuff for you.

It seems like every time I come in this store, I have an issue. I haven’t said anything, but today was the last straw. I came in today to look at puppies. While playing with a little sweet puppy, one nicked my hand with his teeth that it drew blood. I asked a lady if she would give me some alcohol so I could do first aid on myself and she told me to use hand sanitizer because it’s alcohol based. It took everything in me to hold my tongue and I was in complete shock that she did not stop what she was doing to check my hand and give me some alcohol or Neosporin! I found a very nice lady who immediately looked at my hand and got me a first aid kit. When someone gets hurt in a business, no matter how big or small, staff should stop immediately or find someone to help if they can’t. I took this as an omen to stay out of that store. If they can’t take care of customers who get hurt by their puppies, what makes you think they take good care of the animals in the store?
