The Phoenix is awesome. With so many venues gone it's great to have a place to see bands!

This place is a safe haven for young music fans in Sonoma County and beyond. Kudos to the man, Mr. GAFFEY, that makes it happen. I've taken my grandchild there for shows. The kids are all respectful and kind to each other. What an expressive outlet for so many kids.

Cool venue. Skate park by day, rock shows at night! I went to go see Invader at the Phoenix Theater and had one hell of a night. The building was cool. A lot of young kids. Ran by young kids. But the sound was great and the lighting was great too. And…..INVADER KILLED IT!!!

This venue is cool since the popularity of the bands that play here vary so much. Up and comers and established acts both play here.

feel like I'm as old as the legendary Phoenix Theatre, which was apparently built in 1904. I saw quite a few shows here back in my teenage years in the late 1990s...mainly rock, alternative, ska bands whom are mostly unknown and have long since disbanded...but I did see some awesome bands that were nobodies whom later became famous like Goldfinger, Agent 51 and Mighty Mighty Bosstones.

I spontaneously dropped in again last weekend on whim...the theater is still old and run down, old furniture, peeling paint, worn and creaky wooden floorbut felt like home. Some loudass punk rock bands were playing, old furniture, peeling paint, worn creaky wooden floors...and an audience that was mix of teenagers and old, ugly, aging, Gen Xers such as myself, and inbetween. $13 for 3 bands...that's a deal. I just wish they sold alcohol.

The Phoenix is a gem. Truly a beloved, community-minded haven offering free youth services, and also an awesome venue for live music. It operates as a nonprofit and has great resources for younger Petalumans. It's home to a teen health clinic and is a safe place to gather (skate, do homework, take music lessons, etc.).

If you're coming here for a show, don't expect luxury. Its spirit is in its grit. It's an all-ages venue, so no bar (there are snacks and non-alcoholic drinks sold in the lobby). I've been coming here since the early 1990s and its physical makeup feels almost the same. Tom Gaffey is golden, and obviously pours his heart and soul into the place. It's such a fun, energetic, soulful venue to see bands play and one of my favorite things about downtown Petaluma.

I'm really grateful that The Phoenix still offers a beautiful space to see great bands. It makes me happy to see it still having a positive impact on the community.
