Shout out to officer Hewitt. He made me realize that after my dui on August 7th that it wasn't the end of the world for me. He really upped my spirits even after he had to take me to booking. Officers like Hewitt are outstanding and I thank him for having me take this as a lesson learned. Officer Hewitt for sheriff!

Woman officer forget her name just came to my house brining two dogs one which was not mine the other was. She asked if either were mine I said yes. I asked her where he was she claimed he was chasing a woman with the unknown dog. I told her I was so sorry that he was supposed to be in the house. She gave him back then told me she was going to bring me back more information. Which was a lie instead she asked my name date of birth and the other two dogs in my house which were fine and didn't do anything. I of course become non compliant as good love to day and walked back
I'm my house after already giving the information. She then threatens a citation since I already gave her all the info and apologized at the beginning of the conversation. I told her I think it's amazing that you had told me you were going to provide me with information for my dog and instead all of my information is being taking down and now your threatening a citation. So you guys do an amazing job of providing guidance on animals for there owners. Keep up that American cop ethic!!!

I have received only appropriate, considerate, and helpful contacts with Polk county dog control. Even though I understand what is required, and the rationale, for dog licensing, I have been in violation due to my own poor planning and procrastination. So, when "busted", I repeat that I have received kind be, considerate treatment and helpful information. Dog control is here to protect people and animals, and they do a wonderful job, in my experience!

"I had an extremely disappointing and distressing experience at Polk County Jail. The conditions were inhumane, and I witnessed concerning levels of corruption. It's disheartening that a place meant for rehabilitation can fall so short. I hope improvements are made for the sake of those in custody."

My adult son died unexpectedly and Detective Williams was so good about keeping the family informed during the investigation. He was very sensitive and we appreciated the way he handled everything during this trying time.

What's with entering home with no warrants and arresting inesent civilians....? Why won't you comment on it? Is this the begging to a deep corruption in the police station? Hopefully it's addressed very quickly, in an attempt to reestablish community trust in witch you don't deserve.

I want to say officer Graham from the Polk County Sheriffs office. He responded to our call of theft yesterday. And was very professional, he was able to catch the theives within hours of the crime. And we were able to recover most of our money from the crime.
