We were out videoing for our channel and decided to give this place a shot. Because we include food reviews in our videos, and also because this place was unbelievably affordable, we decided to try a few different things.
We ordered a cheese burger, a chili dog, a slaw dog, chili cheese fries, fried green tomatoes, and fried pickles.
This is the first place I’ve seen in a LONG time where you could get good food at a great price.
I mean is it the best ever? We’ve eaten at some really amazing hole in the walls and I’d put this up there with a few of the better ones. If I had one disappointment, it was the fried green tomatoes. They were pretty much burnt beyond recognition but that was the only negative. However, the chili cheese fries were probably the best I’ve ever had, so I can’t be too mad.
The service was great as well.
If I were in Dallas again and wanted a quick (but not fast food) lunch, I’d go back to Pop’s. I’d also recommend this place to others looking for the same.

"First time at pops but not the last time" I ordered a burger and a small fry, The burger was cooked to succulent deliciousness and the fries were light and flavorful. The atmosphere was refreshing for a fast food establishment as they also have TV playing for customers. At the end of it all , "pops dawg house" is a great hole in the wall for a quick bite and great atmosphere with friendly service

Went yesterday for a quick bite to eat before a birthday party. Ordered two plain dogs and one slaw dog with a side of onion rings. Food was great! The only complaint is it took forever to get our food and it wasn’t all that crowded. The lady taking our orders wasn’t very friendly.

The whole vibe of the place was great and the food was exactly as I expected. The only thing was that the outside could use some love. We almost didn't go in but we are sure glad we did.
The slaw dog with the pepper relish was really good.

We drove a good distance to try this place. The chili dogs were pretty good but not amazing. The Chili burger was really good and definitely worth the drive. The onion rings were good sized but only had about five in an order. My wife had a single burger and liked it.

I had to edit my review. I tried them again despite not really liking the owners response but everything was great!! I guess the last time might have just been a bad day. They even called me and replaced the pie with my choosing. Great food and the customer service was above and beyond. She was so nice.

Ordered Uber eats from this place. The whole order was wrong. We were completely missing food and everything was wrong. The fried green tomatoes were inedible. And Uber eats won’t refund us at least for the missing items. Never again. Maybe this place is better in person but definitely not ordering on a delivery app.

To the owner's response: My reviews are truthful and a mix of good ones and bad ones. However, we were completely missing items I paid for. The reason Uber Eats won’t give us a refund is because you failed to provide a receipt with the meal. None of the instructions were followed so our food wasn’t what we were wanting. Not everyone likes mustard so most of it went into the trash besides the corn fritters. And your response only implies a lack of professionalism. So, maybe you are not better in person.

Hamburger was amazing... chili dog not for me at all. All things fried are fantastic. Service top notch and prices make them incredibly affordable.
