I just adopted Oakley the beagle from PALS, she is the sweetest dog! PALS of Grinnell is a great small town shelter and I had a wonderful experience. You can tell that all of the people there care greatly about the animals and their adopters. The communation and kindness is awesome as well.

The shelter is nicely set up and they're doing the animals good by adopting them out to the correct fit, which we met several dogs before deciding on Oakley in the end. I loved how open and honest they were about each pet and the background and if they thought it would be a good fit or not. Also, all vet work is done before the adoption.

Oakley is amazing and I am so forever grateful for the chance to adopt her. I would highly recommend anyone to go adopt here or see what they have to offer! I will definitely go back in the future when I am ready to adopt again!❤️

We got scarlet as a kitten...she's been a wonderful cat for us but now there is a conflict with my allergies and Dr says I need to remove her...what a wonderful cat...we call her bell...lol she likes scratched not petted

I rescued a dog from here and he's great. The process was super easy. Seemed a little hard to get a hold of someone but that might have changed with new owners. Tons of space for the animals, and it seems like everyone of the pets gets a good amount of exercise and attention. Rescue a pet today!
