The first time I had to turn in a stray, they were awful. Rude. THIS TIME, again taking a stray someone dumped, they were kind, gentle with both of us. It was hard to turn in this guy! The staff were professional and were human too.

We adopted our dog Luna here last October and she is the sweetest girl. I first sent a message for another dog, who actually wasn't available anymore so they said that two australian shepherds just got there. We had an australian shepherd puppy so it was a nice coincidence and we decided to go see her the day after. We weren't sure if we wanted to adopt her straight away because we didn't know if she would get along with our puppy at home so they let us take her home for 3 days to see how it would go. Turns out she was the perfect addition to our family! She is the perfect lap dog at home and also a nice hiking companion when we go out. We could never imagine that we would get so lucky. Thank you to the volunteers and staff of the shelter, they truly did an amazing job and we are both super happy of our experience here.

Just got a puppy from here this past weekend. Not only did the puppy have worms and kennel cough. He has pneumonia and is costing us $1000 to treat him. Just hoping this new puppy won’t get my other dogs sick. ALSO. how they kept these puppies is not okay.
UPDATE : i have called and they said they would refund the adoption fee so waiting to see if that will happen.

Well what can I say, questioning the facility and the care. Staff did not have knowledge to give us straight answers on things that SHOULD be known. Definitely started rethinking the decision to go there. The staff were friendly enough aside from one very rude lady working there. Very disrespectful and unprofessional and is the sole reason I would not give that place another chance. We did go ahead and adopt the one we were in the middle of due to only the fact that I wasn’t going to tell my kids no after getting their hearts set. And the fur babies deserve a home. But I’m giving you my $ for a dog with who knows what is wrong with him/her or what kind of condition they might be in & giving them a chance at a life. So maybe come down off your high horse, be a professional respectful human being & be happy WE are the ones supporting these babies & yall with donations & taking in the real costs of giving them the care they deserve. Customer service goes a long way & those fur babies deserve a chance. So idk, maybe don’t act like doing a job you VOLUNTEERED for is putting you out any just so you can acquire some sense of good or credentials or whatever you are looking to gain from it if you can’t treat people with respect. It’s a turn off for potential loving pet owners.

Workers there are kind & friendly. Just beware if you’re adopting ANY animal from them, even if they look healthy please take them to get checked at the vet. We adopted two sweet kittens from here & one of them ended up having ring worm & giving it to the other kitty. Now we have two kittens with ring worm. The kitten had a bald spot on her face when we first adopted her that somehow turned into ringworm. There were other kittens there with skin issues (bald spots, spots that looked infected, etc). I understand it’s a lot to care for all the animals properly, especially if you’re short staffed, but common sense don’t let people adopt the animal until the animal is healed & not infected or at the very least treated properly.
(Mind you, we did get them checked at the vet cause we thought they had ear mites & the vet overlooked the area in question on her face.)
Just be cautious.

I took my mother to turn over some kittens. She told me that they would only keep them for 48hrs b4 they would put them to sleep, but was happy to find out that they keep them until their adopted as long as their healthy & have a good temperament. They will provide them a check up & their shots as well! They also take pics of them as well as transport them to other places (I 4got where) that will give them a better chance of being adopted! I'm so happy!? The staff was very professional & you can tell that they really care about the animals & their well being & that's what matters! I just want to say thank you very much to all the staff & to all the people who work behind the scenes, that donate money, food, litter etc. as well as volunteering their time to help these beautiful innocent animals. God Bless You All!!!
