It is a lovely, historic, old theater. I love that they have yeast available for the pop corn. The tickets are so pricey these days though and the staff, especially the female manager is rude. I went to her to complain about staff members being loud in the projection booth. They were watching their own movie. The light was brightening the back of the theater and you could hear all of there sounds coming through over the horror movie we had all paid to see. Gun fire, explosions, laughter. Everything could be heard from the projection room. The manager was exceptionally rude and combative. Calling me a liar and saying there was no way that her staff was even in the projection booth. A few minutes after I got back into my seat, she came in and went up to projection. The lights and sounds stopped and three employees came out of the room with the manager behind them. My fiancé and I rarely go out any more, because we can't afford it. Half of our expensive movie experience was ruined by the staff. We were treated poorly and never received anything for the inconveniences. A simple apology would have been nice.

I loved seeing Terrifier 3, a film that includes genital mutilation, suicide and child murder. And LOTS of it! Thankfully, this theater doesn't show offensive stuff like Am I Racist, or I'd have to take my family's business elsewhere.

Update: I have updated this from 2 stars to 4, as we were immediately contacted by the owners/manager and offer d comp movie tickets, which arrived promptly o t he mail. We were able to use them at a movie recently, and the experience we had as much better. Thank you guys for the excellent customer service.

Went to the 7:30pm showing of Inside Out 2, which was mostly full of families, except for a row of rowdy, loud, obnoxious teenagers who laughed and yelled and threw water and chewed up gum and candy at people the entire movie. Ruined the movie for everyone else. Wish you all could have removed them early on, when I came down to the front to say something about it to your employee. Hesitant to return

Old historic building, and a fun theater in the area. Seats are pretty comfortable. Staff are usually friendly and welcoming. Average prices on popcorn and beverages.

Th is beautiful theater is a downtown Grass Valley icon. You can see it from miles away. The art deco design is gorgeous. Come support this local theater!

Historic building enhances the night out at the movies experience. Excellent acoustics, comfy seating. Been coming here since before they had more than one screen. Seen some of my favorite movies here. Highly recommended. Excellent experience. Beautiful building in prime location. Bathrooms are amazing.
