We have been going since October 2024. Matt, the owner, is very responsive and is extremely committed to his business. His staff (shout out to Dawn) are very caring of all the dogs. All the staff communicate amazingly with each pet owner, and know all the dogs by name. They do a detailed temperament test and give significant details for the dog's time at Pup City. They have great indoor and outdoor space, staff that is always with the dogs when playing, and multiple sizes of kennels. Our dog had an extended stay and then had to return shortly after for another short stay, and every time is excited and thrilled to be there. Matt called after to give a detailed report and also check in to see how we and our dog liked it. We are so happy we found Pup City!

We started bringing our dog Cleo here because of the owner's dedication to a clean, safe space for our dog to run around. Matt's staff had exceeded our expectations and they truly love taking care of all the dogs. Our dog has been there for half/full day daycare, as well as boarding. She loves it there and never hesitates to go in. We highly recommend this daycare, as it's all about the dogs not the money.

My pup loves Pup City! Matthew and his team are amazing. When I pick up my pup she is tired, calm, and happy. Not crazy over stimulated like at other dog day care facilities. The place is always super clean and the atmosphere is great. Highly recommended!

I came to know Pup City when people were talking about the facility in the city's dog park, and everyone spoke highly about Pup City. After making my first phone call and setting up the first appointment, I can say this is a great place for our dog. Matt is very professional and knowledgeable. The staff knows every dog's name and their personality, reflecting their genuine care and attention. The facility is spacious, clean, and filled with engaging play areas, both indoors and outdoors. They've thoughtfully designed their space to cater to dogs of all sizes and energy levels, ensuring safety and comfort for everyone.

I cannot recommend Pup City Dogcare highly enough. If you're looking for a place where your dog will be loved, entertained, and cared for as if they were part of their own family, look no further. Pup City has exceeded all my expectations, and I am so grateful I found them!

We love Pup City! It's immediately clear how much care Matt and his team put into the business. Their temperament testing process is very thorough -- Matt really spends time getting to know your dog and explaining the behaviors he's evaluating. (He also remembers every dog by name, which is truly impressive!) It really helps give owners confidence that their dog will do well at the facility. Booking is easy and their pricing is incredibly fair for the experience they provide. But beyond that, we're most satisfied with how going to daycare 1-2 times a week has helped our people-focused golden retriever socialize and build confidence with other dogs. He even knows the words "Pup City" now -- he immediately perks up and runs to the door to get his leash on. We've already seen so many benefits, and look forward to continuing to use Pup City for our daycare and boarding needs!

Where to start? We have a less-than-common breed, and Akita that if you know nothing about them, you may have heard that they're very protective.

After using another doggie daycare/boarding place since he was 12 weeks old, they kept "giving him timeouts" that resulted in him being in a metal kennel all day long if we couldn't pick him up. We would ask them what he was doing wrong, and even though they had cameras, could not show us on video.

They referred us to their "certified training specialist", and when I asked them how to fix the issue they have (which, eventually they explained was he would police the dogs who were breaking the rules - ok, so he was doing your job before you had a chance). The certified trainer said "well, I'm not certified in that area of training."

We said okay, we're done driving 38min one way and spending $400/month for this.

We chose a different place to try, and our dog refused to go back with the employees even after 3 full days.

We tried calling another place, but the owner said "oh... its an Akita? Sorry, we can't"

We were getting frustrated.

So we turned to Pup City for one last try, and the owner spent 30minutes with me in the lobby explaining what they were doing during the temperament test while I watched from the cameras.

Our dog, Kenji, LOVES Pup City and every employee there, he runs into the building and doesn't even look back to see what we're doing!

Inside and OUTSIDE areas, the owner meets with every prospective dog/family. Every interaction has been great. You can tell the owner has created their dream, based on experience, with a realistic expectation of space for dogs, and making sure it isn't too crowded, and they understand every dog is different. I cannot say enough positive things, and I've referred our family members to them. Employees are great, the owner truly cares, and a wonderful facility, at a fair price! Cannot be beat!

Pup city is the best! Matt and his crew are great. They know each dog and their individual needs. Our dog is so excited to go and is happy and tired when we pick him up. He’s loving playing with all his pup friends. Couldn’t recommend a better place!

We just recently moved to Ann Arbor from Chicago with our two dogs. I was very nervous to start at a different daycare that takes a different approach than our previous one - our girls previously attended a daycare that used crating rotations. Matt and the rest of the team have been amazing every step of the way and have made it such a smooth transition. After the initial evaluation, Matt gave us detailed debriefs at the end of each day and carefully monitored to ensure the girls were adjusting well. The girls have been attending every week for about six weeks now and we have no complaints. Things we love the most about Pup City are the fact that it is spacious, there is both indoor and outdoor space accessible most of the time (we really didn’t want our girls to get into the habit of going to the bathroom indoors, and they love sunbathing!), dogs that attend are very carefully screened, the employees seem to really care about the dogs, and the facility is very clean. Our boarding experience has been great as well - they allow us to bring chews and beds so the girls feel at home when in the kennels, and the girls get to attend daycare while boarding so they are not in their kennels all day. I would recommend Pup City to anyone.
