Over a year ago, I rescued an adorable 3-year-old dog who had been abandoned twice by his previous owners. The last time he roamed a wooded area for about two weeks before he was picked up by Animal Control. He is an Australian Cattle dog mix, smart with a lot of energy. I want to do the best for my rescue dog, but I had never worked with a dog that I knew very little about. Training at Pup N Iron for the last seven months has been beneficial for him and me. I have noticed the positive difference in my dog - he is so well-behaved. I take him everywhere including nursing homes where he enjoys being showered with attention from the residents. At this time, my goal for him is to achieve Canine Good Citizen status. The instructors, Laurie, Kevin, and Chris are very helpful and provide clear instructions. The place is clean and well-kept. The flexible training works well with my schedule. I strongly recommend Pup N Iron.

Laurie and her team are absolutely fabulous! Very knowledgeable trainers as well as incredibly friendly. My pup and I learned more than I ever imagined in 8 weeks. This is a clean and safe facility. Every dog must be up to date on vaccines to be in class and each owner/dog duo is spaced apart to ensure all the dogs are safe in the group classes so you know you and your dog are in the best possible learning environment. Dogs who are a little more sensitive have the option to train in the back of the room behind some screens for the dog’s comfort. We had so much fun, and I cannot recommend this place enough! Worth every penny!

I’ve been going to Pup n Iron for about 18 years. I’ve taken all of my dogs to Laurie and now Kevin! My first dog went through many trainings from obedience to good canine, rally and agility. I’m about to start my newest member of my house, another rescue in the leveled training classes. I love that they are offered several times and days a week so you can go as much as you want. I recommend Pup n Iron to everyone!

I brought my rescued, inadequately socialized Cavalier to train under Laurie about 20 years ago. She suggested Agility to increase Kenya's confidence. It worked wonders! She became confident enough to work as a Therapy Dog. We also earned her CGC and a couple of Rally Titles.
Laurie has such knowledge of dogs, people and training! She helps you to bring out the best in your dog. The assistant trainers are also excellent.

We've had five dogs train at Pup n Iron. They've all done really well. The flexable levels program is especially great. So many training options just offer a once a week class for 6—8 weeks. That's not really enough to change many behaviors. The levels plan gives you up to three times a week and several different training times. It's awesome if you really want a relationship with your dog.

A little over a year ago I brought home a one year old Sheltie and soon signed her up for classes at Pup N Iron, where I also train my other Sheltie. My new little girl was extremely shy and nervous and I don't think she had been well socialized. I encountered training issues with her that I didn't feel prepared to handle and was close to throwing in the towel but Laurie (the owner and head trainer) was able to give us the confidence to continue and find success. Laurie is talented at reading each dog (and owner) and offering ideas and solutions. The facility at Pup N Iron is a wonderful place to train. The owners keep it clean and the equipment in good shape. There are many classes to choose from and the instructors want the best for you and your dog and use their knowledge and experience to help you achieve your goals. I highly recommend Pup N Iron for anyone interested in training for competitions or having a dog that is a well-behaved member of the family.

We have been training at Pup n Iron for 4. We started with our first lab and then started our second lab two years later. The instructors are great. There are a variety of classes to choose from, not just obedience. And there is a real family atmosphere of very supportive people around you. We love it here!

Laurie, Chris and Kevin are knowledgeable and caring trainers. Two years ago I purchased a Havapoo puppy to soon realize she had severe separation anxiety. I could not get three feet away from her. It was so bad I had to use a puppy gate to keep her from getting in the shower with me. Even with her in the same room she would scream if she could not get to me. We started puppy obedience class and have progressed to obedience level 3. Marley's accomplishments with the great help of these trainers is: completing 3 levels, 30 tricks, in AKC trick dog, working on level 3 of AKC Fit dog, and working on AKC novice Rally Obedience. Anxiety and her overall confidence is greatly improved. Marley would not be the dog she is today without the help given by these GREAT trainers. Thanks you for your dedication!
