Went for a Beyonce themed night and my goodness. What a great time! Funny, helpful security, good energetic vibes, amazing fun, dj, and crowd! The bartender was super blah, like didn't fit the crowd whatsoever and seemed unhappy or annoyed, but she moved quickly, and the prices were very fair. We had an amazing time, though, and danced and sang all night!

Maybe I am getting too old for this type of concert scene but I was miserable all night at this place. I took the kids to see the synthwave band Dance with the Dead. The bands were great, but I knew the night was going to get bad when I went to the bar and ordered a jack and coke with a shot of grenadine and two cokes for the kids. The three drinks were $17. I gave a $20, with three for a tip, thinking I would have a few more and over the night, I would leave a decent tip. My drink was so strong and I couldn't taste the grenadine at all. I see what the guy on the Bar Rescue talks about over pouring. I didn't need to buy another drink all night. So they lost that extra revenue on top of the over pour. I was leaning on the corner of the bar and the girls were a few feet ahead of me. The bartender tells me I can't stand there even though as soon as we moved several people moved into that spot and she never said a word to them. Now there was not one chair in this place. I offered to pay extra but was told they didn't have any chairs. My back was hurting so bad by the end of the night I could barely walk back to the hotel after. Even leaning against the wall wasn't helping after a while, I had to go outside and sit on cold concrete in 39° weather. Now this was the first time I had been to a show at the Masquerade in this location. I had traveled many times from NW Florida for shows at the Masquerade in Atlanta on each floor I was always able to find a seat. I have been to thousands of shows all over the US and even the world. At this point in my life, I have paid my dues standing at the front of the stage. Now, I like to sit in the back and have a table in front of me to put my drink on. Now my complaint stems solely on the venue. From what I was able to see when I wasn't outside the bands were great. If the ad doesn't say seating available, I won't be back. Honestly, if the bartender didn't kick me off the bar just to let others stand there, I would have given the venue four stars and just made a complaint about no chairs. The girls enjoyed the bands so if there had been a place to sit, the place would have got a 5 star just on them having fun.

I caught the FEAR & ANTiSEEN Show. Fantastic sound & Lighting, a great spot for shows Albeit a bit different than the old Masquerade, it is in a generic spot in the underground. It does have AC and you don't feel like the floor is going to collapse at any time, like back in the day. Great Show!

A little hard to get to for people who are handicap. But they gave free ice and water and the concert was set up well and it was small so felt more intimate which I appreciated because I was with 2 teenagers. Would have been nice to have some place to sit down for people though.

Love Purgatory ?
One of my favorite places to catch a show! I miss the couches but it's still a killer place to catch a show.
Bartenders are always awesome too - not something you find much anymore!

The most intimate stage of the best venue to see indie, underground and up-and-coming artists. Fairly flat space so come in early to get a good spot. There's a few seats behind the bar if you want to sit.

I've seen a couple of shows there. It's intimate with a decent bar. They have tap to pay which is convenient. Purgatory is the smallest venue, but it's never felt crowded.

Floor is very sticky inside the concert halls but parking is convenient with a parking garage and direct, off the street access to the venue. Event Staff was helpful and friendly, nice long bars with plenty of bartenders.
