The staff is always friendly and welcoming, adding to the theater's warm, community-focused vibe. The food and drink are fantastic as well. There is a neat brewery/bar attached to the theatre with great food. You are able to get the brewery beers at the bar or inside the theatre as well!

Whether you're there for a film screening, a live event, or just to appreciate the historic beauty of the space, the Ramova Theatre offers a unique and unforgettable experience. It's a must-visit for anyone in Chicago who appreciates both cinema and history.

This is a very nice venu. I attended the Tape B show Jan 18th. The sound system was incredible and the lasers were insane! Parking was free and eazy and we got in without a wait. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There is no smoking area and the drinks were pricey but thats not unusual for Chicago. I would definitely come back for another show.

We saw Tape B night two for our first experience at the Ramova. Overall it was good and I hope it gets even better with a few improvements!! Will absolutely attend another show here.

The good: Coat check. Superfast and chill security. Great lights. Relatively easy to enter and exit the crowd. Free cups of water, cheap bottles of water. Attached restaurant. Lots of street parking.

The not-so-good: It gets hot. REALLY hot. More air circulation is crucial. In the lowest floor area I felt faint a few times. Also, the coat check line was insane at the end — no shade, but a thing to consider for folks attending shows on cold nights. The beer selection is lacking an alcoholic IPA and drinks are expensive compared to other venues.

I had an amazing time at the Ramova Theater in Chicago! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience feel special. The venue itself has such a rich history, and you can really feel the charm as soon as you walk in. Every spot in the theater offers a great vantage point, so no matter where you’re sitting, you’re guaranteed a solid view of the stage.

The sound quality was top-notch, and the vibes were fantastic throughout the night. I was also pleasantly surprised by the beer selection – definitely solid choices for an event venue! This place has so much potential, and I’m already looking forward to coming back for another show. If you’re in the area and looking for a great spot for live events, I highly recommend checking it out. Can’t wait to see what else they have in store!

Attended Deorro 12/28, lines to enter were fast , security had a system to move lines quick. As soon as you walk inside you instantly feel a wave of heat. Not even a minute in and you’re already sweating. There’s ZERO ventilation in the venue, felt like a sauna, it was hard to breathe! It was insanely hot in there!!! Even the artists performing were complaining that it was hot, they had to take off their shirts and keep performing. Drinks are over priced. Almost $100 for 3 drinks and 3 shots, luckily they had free water but with almost everyone passing out it runs out quick. All mixed drinks are canned bottles poured into plastic cups. They don’t make drinks, they buy them made. Bathrooms are terrible! Only four stalls for a venue that has sold out shows? Never again.

Cool new live music venue on the southside. Acoustics are good and the asthetics are fresh. There is also an attached bar/grill/taproom from the main venue open til’ midnight most show days, so that’s definitely a plus!

I personally liked this venue. Parking on the street was easy for us because we attended a concert that took place on a Friday night. Tickets were a great price, the staff are hardworking and keep the place very clean. There were different drink options and a bar on each floor, and the patio was nice. The sound system could be better, but overall I'd gladly attend another event here.

Nice Floor area and the balcony area is good as well. Multiple bars inside. I gave it 4 stars cause is kinda hard to find parking but this place is Definitely a great place to see a concert
