Lauren Turner is a wonderful riding instructor and horse trainer! Lauren showed tremendous patience and compassion working with my teen daughter and her horse. I’ve seen Lauren working with children as young as 5 years old and adult riders too — I can definitely recommend her wholeheartedly as an instructor for riders of all ages and levels. And if you’re looking more for a trainer for your horse, Lauren is a truly gifted horse trainer as well. She’s kind and gentle while being firm and no-nonsense. If you get the chance to watch her in action, you’ll be amazed at how Lauren is able to bring out the best in your horse!

Lauren is a kind and fabulous trainer and clinican, for both me (adult amateur) and my 2 daughters. She is too far away from our farm for us to ride with regularly, but we lesson with Lauren whenever we can, and she has been very helpful at horse shows. I am always impressed with the riders she works with regularly as well, I highly recommend Lauren as a trainer!

What I found unique and helpful about Lauren compared to other facilities/trainers I've ridden with over the years was her ability to help establish goals, both short term and long term. The questions she asks about what you want from your relationship with your horse were instrumental in helping me to identify next steps and what was important to me in my partnership. Not only does she help to figure out those goals but then she creates the steps to get there and holds you accountable in the process and in the progress. I would recomend her for both a young rider and a more experienced adult amateur. She always keeps things fresh, and since she is readily learning/training and competing herself she has her finger on the pulse of new grids, or exercises to implement. River Birch and Lauren absolutely get my stamp of approval. Thanks for all you've helped me with over the years.

Great facility! Lauren Turner helped my horse and I in just one lesson. By the 3rd we were making accomplishments to move forward. After being in a rut for awhile, this was amazingly needed. I'm hoping to continue. She also pays attention to new training techniques and items.

Lauren's 'eye' is impressive; goes straight to weak areas and helps to fill in the holes of both rider and horse's training. Offers critique in very positive and professional manner and provides great exercises to work on between lessons. Lauren is one of the most fun trainers I've worked with in my half century of riding. I travel almost 2 hours to get to her barn and every minute is worth it.

Lauren has a talent for match making! I had a very unique list of requirements while horse shopping (something fun for me as a “re-rider” and safe enough for my young daughter to poke around on) and she delivered the perfect match for us with a very reasonable commission fee!

Amazing facility. Beautiful setting with rolling hills. The barn itself is picturesque. The owner and trainer, Lauren Turner, is top notch. Definitely a top choice if you're putting a horse in training or are looking for a great coach.
