I visited last year and took a walk to the palm tree with all the locks on it. I left a memorial for my son that passed in 2018. I learned about the park from a grief support group and have been waiting to visit there. It’s a beautiful park and we were lucky to be there for the boat parade as well.

I greatly appreciate that this park, Remember Our Children, exists. It is nice to be able to come here and pay tribute to my child that is no longer with us, and that was cremated. I often visit the park when she is heavy on my mind, and I am filled with peace and solace.

The park offers many different options. Dog park, baseball, courts, a large grassy area that can hold a bazaar or a market, and has some parking with additional parking nearby at the supermarket if they don’t mind! The waters close by so you can fish also. On top of that the Holiday Half Marathon starting line was held right here and that event was a fun (but looong) run through beautiful neighborhoods!

I never knew this park was in my area. I found out from a tourist. Lol! I am so glad I was told, because it was such a humbling experience.
ROC stands for Remember our Children. This park is dedicated to children whom have lost their lives.
As you walk through the park, you will see rocks, benches and trees in memory of the children. You are able to purchase these through the website.
The walking paths are very nice. If you are using a walker or wheelchair, you will not have difficulty maneuvering through the grounds.
There is a small splash pad to enjoy too. What a great idea because we all know Fl. can be hot hot hot!
There is a playground structure. It is small (I did attachment picture).
There are tennis courts, basketball and baseball fields. I learned the park hosts games at this park.
There is a bridge that you are able to fish from. There are areas on bridge that you can sit if needed.
There are covered areas you can enjoy as well. If you like to have lunch in the park.
There are shaded areas to sit and enjoy the beauty of the park. I used these areas to reflect on how fortunate I am to have not lost a child. Upon leaving I was humbled by my time at the park. I will definitely be going back. If you go, I hope you find it as pleasurable as I did.

4th Year attending the ROC park carnival. It has now become a family tradition for our 6 year old. Always a good time, good rides and good food. This is a great location I grew up with (over 20 years in the area) and it has only gotten better.

Update: It's now been 9 years and we still look forward to this carnival every year. Great venue, food and rides for the spring carnival. The park itself is beautiful and a great way to spend a couple hours even when the carnival isn't in town.

The grounds are kept very well, it's on the water and every time they do an event they take the time to make sure that it's comfortable for everyone in the community. It's a great place for family. Fishing docks are available as well as a full venue for music events. Tennis courts are kept well as well as the dog park.

One of my favorites, has a baseball field, soccer field, fishing pier, 2 fenced dog play areas, a paver walkway along the intercoastal, fenced kids play area, splash pads, community garden, plenty of seating/picnic areas looking over the water some with power outlets.
