I am so thankful for this place every single time I have been here! I have brought small dogs, goats, and most recently, my grand puppy, German shepherd 1 year old Simba, with a treble hook in his mouth and front paw. The people here are amazing and it is obvious they care for ALL animals!! Thank you for the kindness and love you show the animals, and thank you for remaining affordable at the same time! I've been going to rockcastle veterinarian clinic for 9 years and love everybody there the staff is wonderful and so is the doctor. The doctor has taken care of my own personal pets Plus all the rescues that I have taken in until I found them a home. And there's so much cheaper than going to a bigger city the price is great

Just had my first experience as I was having my pup neutered. The vet kept me informed on every aspect of the whole procedure. I appreciated them answering all the questions I had and remaining professional the whole time. This is exactly how a business should be ran. The staff and the Docs are amazing! They always go above and beyond expectations! I’ve had my dogs to a couple of different vets in the area (between Mt.Vernon and Lexington) and Dr.Chism is by far the best, after visiting there 3 different times with my babies I can’t imagine going anywhere else! The whole staff is so incredibly sweet! And are super patient and gentle with all of the animals that I’ve seen in there! They took super great care of my Yorkie when I had her Spade, and I look forward to taking all of my animals there in the future! They have the best prices in the area and go so much farther than what I ask for, they’ve always been transparent and honest with me about everything! And are all amazing people! ❤️ They give so much to their community and ask for so little in return compared to all the other vets that I’ve ever been too! I’m so thankful to have them around! ❤️❤️❤️

My 4 lb Yorkie went into labor early. Needed a C-section. My regular vet was giving a speech at his HS reunion. Wasn't going to ruin that for him. I happen to catch the Dr in at 4pm. I picked her up by 6pm. I've been going there more often. Prices? VERY reasonable prices. I refer to a lot of people!

I love working with this clinic. We have brought our dogs, cats, goats and horses here. They're equally great with the animals and their humans. 🙂 Once in a while the wait can be a bit long, but usually it's because an emergency came in that derailed the schedule, and since I'd be happy to be fit in for an emergency if it was needed, I don't mind having to wait when someone else had to be fit in.

Cannot say how much I appreciate Dr C, he has been my vet for over 20 yrs and without his great prices I could not do the recues I do. He was there when my beloved Kaspion of 15 yrs passed. He has always been there for all my furbabys. We appreciate him and his staff so very much.

Compassionate and knowledgeable. We've been taking our pets to Dr. Chism for over a decade and he has always taken great care of our furbabies. They are a very busy clinic because of so many return, happy clients, but they are worth the wait.
