We are in love with our Puppy from Rocky Mountain Bernedoodles. Tammie was a pleasure to work with. This is a first-class breeder that produces healthy, happy, adorable puppies. Highly recommend!

I own Cimarron Dog Training and train a lot of puppies that come from Rocky Mountain Bernedoodles. Tammie runs an excellent business and prides herself on the quality of the puppy she produces. She is easy to work with, respectable, and down to earth. Each puppy that comes to me from Rocky Mountain Bernedoodles is intelligent, people oriented, and most importantly: HEALTHY. If you are looking for your next puppy to join your family, I would encourage you to purchase a puppy through this breeder. Dogs are a long term commitment, so who you buy from matters! Thank you, Tammie, for providing quality Bernedoodles and for all the hard work that goes into raising these beautiful puppies!

I was fortunate to be matched with my companion in 2015. I did a ton of research at time and Rocky Mountain bernedoodles is a highly respected breeder and continues to be. I’ll be putting a deposit down for another because he needs a companion himself to keep him busy! Thank you Tammie!

I cannot put into words the happiness and comfort Tammie and Rocky Mountain Bernedoodles has provided my family and me. After a HORRIFIC fraudulent experience with a fake internet breeder, where we obviously never received the dog we thought we were supposedly purchasing, meeting Tammie was a blessing beyond measure. Her compassion, concern, care and understanding of what our family was emotionally put through was evidenced by the way she did all she could to help us with the purchase of a beautiful Rocky Mountain Bernedoodle. Tammie has restored our faith in breeders and her service is top-notch! She breeds for temperment and health, and every bit is evidenced in her dogs and reflects her background in human healthcare. She is caring and honest and a beautiful person--such love for others is passed on through the love her dogs provide their forever-home families. I recommend Tammie and Rocky Mountain Bernedoodles wholeheartedly and wish for others to feel as satisfied as we do!

We purchased a mini bernadoodle (Lilly) from Rocky Mountain Bernadoodles who participated in the Turn Key program. We just LOVE her. She is a sweet, well trained, healthy, and adorable puppy! Iron Will training were equally amazing. We are so impressed with the level of Lilly's training! They sent us an instructional video prior to her arrival. They spent the afternoon with us training us on her commands and providing us with tips to keep up her training. They also successfully helped us introduce our current dog to the new puppy and they are now inseparable. Lilly will start working as a service dog in a Special Education classroom for students with Autism in the Spring. I know she will do great. She is service oriented and a playful family pet. I was hesitant about the turn key puppy program because I did not want to miss out on the cute puppy stage and puppy bonding, but we are so delighted that she is still a puppy and has had no problem bonding during her first week. Not to mention that Lilly arrived potty trained, crate trained, sleeps all night, trained on and off leash, and is diligent in following commands while still being a playful, cuddly puppy.

I highly recommend the turnkey puppy! Worth the money and wait!

We waited a year to get our puppy (which is stated all over the website as the usual wait time). She did everything she could to make sure we were a good match. It’s been 2 years since we got her and my only regret is that I didn’t get two!! Cricket is THE BEST dog in the world. She is so so so patient with my kids, a little protective, doesn’t bark, super playful, and obedient... when she wants to be. 😉 We could not possibly adore this dog more and we are so happy Tammie bred for personality and was able to match us so well with the most amazing dog on the planet! She was worth the wait a million times over!

A reason for caution ?

About 6 months ago I paid a deposit of $500.00 to “Rocky Mountain Bernedoodles” for a Bernedoodle puppy. I was told I was put on a master list and wait time could be lengthy. I spoke to the owner Tammie personally and she would not provide any further details regarding how many people were on the wait list and what my number in the queue was. She told me to contact her periodically, but I’m not sure for what, if the wait list wasn’t given to the clients. I found the lack of clarity a bit strange but I did not pursue the issue further.
In June of 2021, I contacted Tammie wondering if I could stop by for a quick visit to see the facilities and some puppies. She initially said no problem and asked me to provide some preferred dates, which I did. Over the next several months she came up with several excuses why I could not come by for a visit. This is when I started to get nervous. During our last email conversation, she said I could not visit until end of August/September, when she would be back on her premises in Montrose. I could be mistaken, but I get the impression she lives outside of Colorado for months at a time. Every time I have been in contact with her, she has been in Alabama. She told me her son manages the facilities in her absence. When looking over the website “Rocky Mountain Bernedoodles” I definitely get the impression it welcomes any potential future puppy purchaser to visit anytime and also that Tammie is the owner/person in charge who runs the operations at the facilities in Montrose.
Personally, I would like to see, when you pay a $500.00 deposit and several thousands of dollars in purchase price for your puppy, that there is full transparency regarding the wait list and who is in charge physically at the facilities. In my opinion, there is a disconnect between what is advertised on the website and my own personal experience with the breeder. During this same time, I had a conversation with a previous client of the breeder who had a most unfortunate experience with the breeder and a puppy purchse. Naturally that made me quite uncomfortable. Not being able to visit the facilities during the entire summer, the lack of transparency regarding the waitlist and the owner apparently living out of state frequently, were too many red flags for me and I requested a refund of my $500.00 deposit. Tammie accepted my request and for this I am grateful. It may very well be that “Rocky Mountain Bernedoodles” is a first class, very well operated Bernedoodle breeder, however I wasn’t comfortable moving forward and decided to proceed in a different direction.

I was excited to get my new member to my family! BUYER BEWARE: After putting down a $500 deposit with Rocky Mountain Bernedoodles, I have waited a year to get an email letting me know it was time! The wait time is not the issue. The issue comes from the fact that I was only given two weeks to schedule pickup for the new puppy. This means that the puppy was born 8 weeks ago! there was no follow up or email making me aware of this and allowing me to properly schedule transport. The only follow up emails I had received in the year long period of the wait were attempts to sell me other puppies that I did not want to purchase. Since the deposit was put down almost a year ago my living situation has changed to where I cannot accommodate a pet. It would be unfair to the puppy to have it live in the cramped spaces of an apartment. I let Tammie, the owner, know of this change so others could have their chance to get the puppy. I politely asked for my $500 deposit to be returned. She said "Sorry, but the deposit is non-refundable". Legally, a deposit would be non-refundable only if a good or service had been exchanged; none of this happened. There was no contract signed when the deposit was placed. I was not allowed to see the waiting list or informed of the amount of people on it. She suggested that my presence on her deposit list caused her to loose money because others would not want to put down deposits. This cannot be true due to the fact that others cannot see the waiting list prior to or even after placing a deposit. It is illegal to keep a deposit in the state of Colorado and federally when no goods or services have been exchanged and no contract has been signed by both parties.
