We came visiting from California. This dog park beats any of our parks in San Diego. It's beautiful. There's a section where your doggies can go on their own little hike through one of the enclosures. Sedona is beautiful and very dog friendly. If you're visiting from out of state or you're lucky enough to reside in Sedona, we highly recommend this dog park.

The dog park on soldiers pass road is the best. It has a hiking area for the dogs and is always clean. My dogs and kids had a great experience.

Overall, a really nice and clean dog park in Sedona with great views. However, this is mostly true for the large dog area. It was our first time at this park, and we went into the small dog/older dog area. The big dog are looked larger, clean and clear, however the small dog area was full of plants and rocks which can be rough on smaller breed and older dogs since there is not a lot of open free space for them to just run. I was also worried as I saw many plants that suspiciously looked like foxtails in the area so it was making me very nervous. Our corgi had no large area to just run since it pretty much looks like a rocky place. I wish we could have been in the larger clear dog area, but there were larger dogs in there so I wasn’t very comfortable with that. I also noticed dog owners letting their dogs run from their car to the park unleashed which didn’t feel safe to me. I saw way too many people with unleashed dogs walking towards the park instead of letting them free once inside. Not a great park for dogs that are more nerviosa or reactive while you have them leashed if others don’t do the same. Not a bad location if you have a larger breed who can be in the clear bigger dog area, but it didn’t feel safe for our corgi in the smaller park due to all the plants and rocks. I felt like I had to watch my dog very carefully to make sure he didn’t run into any animals or bad plants. Was a bit disappointed in the maintenance of the small dog area. In the pictures you can see the nice large dog area versus the rocky, overgrown plant area we had to have our smaller dog in. Felt like we couldn’t stay too long due to these issues since it was a little stressful to try to keep a look out for any little thing. Meanwhile, dog owners in the larger area seem fine and relaxed since the area was clean and clear for them. The large dog area also had benches for sitting, but nothing like this in the small/older dog area. Pretty views though.

Sedona Dog Park is AMAZING! My bigger dog absolutely loved it! It's so big, spacious, clean and well maintained. Lots of friendly dogs, and friendly owners as well. Nova got a good case of the "zoomies" several times and ran full speed until she ran out of steam! My little guy (7 lb Pomeranian) stayed in my arms. There is,a lovely section for small dogs as well, but there were no little guys for him to play with.
There are plenty of tables, benches and such for owners to sit in the shade, too. And with the beautiful Red Rocks of Sedona as a backdrop, how can you go wrong?
All entries to the park are double gated to lessen the chance of any fur babies accidentally escaping, too.

Absolutely fantastic dog park. Has an open run around area, and two wooded trail areas. I’ll be coming to Sedona a lot more often now I’ve discovered this place!

Visited Sedona dog park today. There were only a couple of small dogs already playing, so we took the Sunrise trail, which is right next to the park. It is a nice, smooth path with beautiful views. We then turned left up the Carruth trail, which was a bit of a maze but we found our way out. Lots of signs explaining the flora, a couple of benches at scenic lookouts and a cottontail. All in all, a fun, little hike. After our hike, we went back into the park. There's a great off leash, hiking section in the back.
