I will give the Shiawassee FOC credit where it is due, they have a very clear and very consistent mission statement of being absolutely unhelpful, condescending, and outright useless over the phone. If you are a co-parent that lives or works outside of Shiawassee County, or be in my situation where both are true, good luck to you! I've had nothing but headaches from this entire department, outright disappointed. Need a simple document or verification about your monthly payment? Take time off work, and come into the office, with our very convenient office hours of 8-5.... can't give any information over the phone, but the call taker will ask you to verify information EVEN ASK YOU YOUR FULL SOCIAL, over the phone... my response? Sure, but you'll have to visit me, at my hours of 6pm-9pm, only in person. Credit where it is due, the FOC of Shiawassee county sets the standard for complete failure in customer service, support, and simple common decency. Hope you stub your toes.

There is ABSOLUTELY zero reason that I should have to call a LOCAL number, get forwarded by the computer to another phone system and use the menu to navigate back to the local unit. I should not have to enter my SSN, DOB and Docker number to get a human on the phone. The process should NOT take over 8 minutes to get to a local person who can answer my question in less than one minute.

Unsatisfied

Going through a divorce, the istict clerks would not accept paperwork and informed me I was responsible to email the paperwork to the Judges clerk.. Emailed the last piece of paperwork 3 weeks before it was due the Judges clerk sat on it with no communication until the day before the court date. We received paperwork stating the case was dismissed due to paperwork not being filed with the district clerks that gave me the paperwork but wouldn't accept it.. When I emailed the Judge's clerk she stated she received the paperwork and was instructed to not discuss the situation any further... Poor customer service, ashame our courthouse/courts have sunk to this level.

9/20/2018 10:17am I made a phone call and a woman answered she didn’t tell me her name but I wish I would have gotten it. She was extremely rude and I had to ask her 3 times to please calm down because she was speaking in such a rude manner/ tone to me. Maybe you should find some women with better customer service experience.

3 years ago this review would of been a 1 star. But they must have gotten new women in there because the lady I talked to was a god send and the lady I dealt with at the front desk was kind also.

NEVER HELPFUL and ALWAYS RUDE. I hate calling there because no matter how nice I am, they are terrible to deal with. They are rude and short on the phone and make you feel like you've interrupted them.
