My wife and I loved this place when it first opened. Great BBQ, great service. We loved the fresh cut fries and fantastic cornbread. Then life got busy, we weren’t eating out as often. But this weekend we decided to go back. Its was like a different place entirely. No more table service inside. I ordered a half rack of ribs, fries and cornbread (my usual). I love ribs and I know what a half rack looks like in terms of portion size. What I got served though was a quarter rack of ribs and it really pissed me off. When I complained, they defended the measly portion size. I took a photo. Fellow rib lovers can judge for themselves whether this was a half rack or not. The chef came to our table with the other half rack which was nice of them but it didn’t change the fact that I was originally ripped off. But then the real surprise came when I tasted the ribs. Dried out, overcooked- just terrible. They lost a longtime customer. I’m never going back.

My kiddo loved the live music and punching game as well as pool. We like the few dairy free things we tried. Brisket, pulled pork. Warning if you have a severe allergy, the rolls are made with dairy in them. But green beans and fries were all good. ♡

I would be excited to dine here again! My wife and I stopped here around noon for lunch. We both ordered from their lunch menu and left stuffed and happy.
The brisket and pulled pork were both delicious. Baked beans are sweet and smokey. Fries are crispy outside and fluffy inside. The Cole slaw is an unusual mix of bitter and sweet that went well with BBQ. There is a good mix of sauces... all have some level of heat except the Dr. Pepper style. We also ordered cocktails. The raspberry Dixie reminded me a bit of a Sweet-Tart, but not candy sweet. The Chip Off The Old Block had some heat from the Chipotle Tequila. I liked it, but my wife felt the heat was too much for her preference.
It was far from busy at that time of day on a Friday, so only one person ran the bar and dining room, and she was perfect. Prompt, friendly, and quick with excellent suggestions.

How is this place not packed?! So, my husband and I are on a trip with our church and we got dropped off for lunch in front of Shiners and we were told we could each find anywhere in the immediate area to eat. Apparently, the other 50 people who were on the bus with us went somewhere else. In my opinion, they made a huge mistake.

We were treated warmly by Candace and seated in a comfy seat by the window. Trey came over right away, introduced himself, and asked what he could get us to drink.

We only wanted water (they were out of tea 😢) but we ordered the Potato Barrels appetizer. They were yummy, kind of like potato skins, but standing up. Plenty of cheese and bacon.

I ordered Brisket with Brussels Sprouts and Cole Slaw. The brisket was the best I’ve ever had. It was so tender you could just stick your fork in it and a piece just falls on your fork. Trey had suggested the Dr. Pepper bbq sauce. Although I don’t like Dr. Pepper, he wasn’t wrong. Soooo good! The Brussels Sprouts weren’t roasted, but they had a spicy sauce on them that really made them delicious. The cole slaw had a mayo base but had just the right amount of vinegar so it wasn’t too sweet.

My husband got the chili and salad. He said the chili was really good. I figure that’s because they use really good meat. The salad was just a regular salad, but he said it was also good. He loved the hot bacon dressing.

Bottom line: Shiners is outstanding! From the employees to the food to the place itself, you will not be disappointed.

Went for brunch to watch the Bengals on big TVs while sitting on comfy couches. Enjoyed brioche stuffed French toast. Jameson chaser.

My friends liked the Shiners breakfast sandwich and sides. We got cheap pitchers of beer and good cocktails.

DJ Vinny was awesome. Also, great bartenders and servers.

The brisket, turkey and pork were all really good. I liked the thinner style barbecue sauce. All the sides were great and portion sizes were decent as well.

The atmosphere is cool for watching sports and live music. (None while we were there), but I'd definitely go back to see some.

Absolutely loved this place. Went on a Wednesday night and had a blast. The service was great even tho I was sitting at the bar. The atmosphere on a Wednesday night was absolutely great. If I'm ever in North Kentucky again I will definitely go back

Stopped in the day before St Pattys and they only had a limited menus. I ordered brisket with a side of mac and cheese and elote corn. I decided to take it to go because the “bruh atmosphere” was out of control for a Sunday evening. While waiting the highly intoxicated patron sitting next to me at the bar was only worried about where to find some cocaine and I’m pretty sure everyone on the restaurant was aware of his concern. When I got back to the hotel just a quick walk from the restaurant I found the entire meal to be cold. The brisket was flavorless - not sauce options were asked about or included. The Mac and cheese and corn could possibly be edible if not straight out of the walk-in fridge. Save your money and go somewhere else
